According to: http://earthsky.org/earth/groundhog-day-2012-how-accurate-is-punxsutawney-phil He saw his shadow and it's 6 more months of winter. The official site is down/giving me a database error. Oh, that's helpful. Cripes.

But what's strange is LiveJournal's Writer's Block question today "Did the groundhog see its shadow? What do you think?" Wha? Not "Will it see its shadow" but DID it. How is that asking me what I think? That's totally fact-based, not debateable. It doesn't have anything at all to do with what I think! It's not like me thinking he didn't will change the historical record.

This day has all kinds of confusing wording.

Ha. Glad I didn't also chime in on the (non-)winter we're having the way I was about to! I have no idea if Mr. Phil saw his shadow.

With as many cameras and lights as they have shining on Phil every year, I don't see how he can not see his shadow every damn time!
