Finally had a session with Jeev this morning (he canceled again yesterday). It was a difficult, full-body work-out, but I managed somehow. Bill tried to encourage me this morning by singing "Eye of the Tiger" but it only made me want to smack him ( ... )

LOL!!!! i love yew guys.

i have never seen this ladder contraption thing. i think i would die, too. HOLY CRAP.

in other news... go you!!! rawk on and stuff.

homemade cheeseburgers are awesome and you don't have them all the time. they beat fast food any day. so if you're going to have one, at least have a good one. besides, sounds like you had enough good stuff to balance it out so i say win-win.

I've never seen one of these laddery things either. Now I'm curious, because it doesn't *sound* like it would be worse than the endless staircase...

This is how we get ourselves in trouble. :-)

Dogs and cats, living together!

I sometimes think the endless staircase would be easier if I could use my hands too. But maybe that would be bad. :-)

Congratulations on the fast food lack! I too have been successful so far in my dry month. Somehow saying "I'm just not doing that right now" is easier than cutting back.

Also glad, more so, that you are out of your funk. You know, the "French women don't get fat" (effing hate that title and its attitude, but it has some decent stuff) approach to eating is "eat really good food - just eat it at mealtime only and control your portions."

I love your trainer too, and I've never even met him. And he probably loves you for getting his sense of humor. :-)

I got into doing real push-ups by doing them at the beginning of the workout when I was fresh. Wow, so much easier than doing them in the middle! Shock shock.

Well, the feeling is mutual on that account. :) My old trainer was awesome but sometimes I think he just didn't get me.

Mmm, well, by the time I got to the push-ups today I'd already done all five minutes on the endless ladder, lunges, standing rows on the TRX strap, sideways leaps, and one-legged squats. Afterwards I pulled on a weight while doing a one-handed plank, stair runs, regular squats, and planks while kicking each knee toward my shoulder. And possibly some other stuff I'm not remembering right now.

Have I mentioned I stand in awe of all your badassery in the gym? I think it deserves a Hoff.

Woodchuck cider, mmm. So good.

I agree with the comment above: if you're going to eat junk, make it count by sticking with extra-delicious homemade junk.
