anybody else find that funny? hmm
so my volunteer thing started today. it was more fun than i had expected. today was just the orientation/getting to know eachother/breaking into teams day, but oooohhh the fun. I got a group of six 7-8 year olds, in which today we played "find something in common bingo"..ie - match somebody with the same eye color, bday in a certain month, etc etc, listened to the coordinator peoples welcomes and intros, and picking team names. I am now the proud leader (well, co-leader...the other girl doesn't say much though) of the "tiger lillies". that's right, "tiger" because we're fast and mean at everything we do, and well, awesome. (the little tykes also do killer growling tiger impressions) and "lillies" because we're pretty and smell nice doing it...apparently. that's what you get for a group of mostly girls
saturday and sunday i think we're going on little trips...saturday to some lake i don't know to hike, play games, bbq, teach the kids about the area (??) and that kind of stuff. sunday i think is an indoor sciency type day with workshops and other various activities. muchos fun
it was mike's bday yesterday...so a bunch of us thought it would be fun to go down to riverside and hang out. it was fun, but we somehow ended up at the stupid bar. it was ok until everybody separated and we couldn't find anyone..place was uncomfortably packed...so me and candice just kinda stood in one place for the entire night. although, if ya ever want to see just about everyone you went to highschool with, that's the place to go.
