Voice of the Resistance - Chronicling the Leftist Onslaught

Press corps grills Gibbs: Um, didn’t Obama totally shamelessly lie about C-SPAN? [Well done media! Even if it's only because of a shot to their ego, they are finally starting to wake up and get mad!] "There is, and can be, no defense here, and everyone in the room knows it. [...] In fact, the best he can do by way of an answer is to mumble that The One wants a bill on his desk as soon as possible, an implicit admission that the White House is prepared to sacrifice all its gauzy promises about transparency on the altar of finally ramming this travesty through."
Video after cut one. "Baghdad Bob" Gibbs looks arrogant, dismissive and angry. If he could, it sure looks like he'd handle these questions from a challenging press with Mao's version of political power. His responses here should be unacceptable to ANYone. Please watch it.

More damning video follows. Again, I get that the best of intentions sometimes meet reality, altering plans. But reality has been the polar opposite of Obama's promises. This is for no good reason anyone can guess, and the Obamunists refuse to explain! The following is Obama's "One Word" ad, that attacked McCain for a plan in this bill!

Taxing health care, raising taxes on the middle class, not bargaining with "Big Pharma," not bargaining with "Big Insurance," transparency. When so much of Obama's direct and constantly repeated campaign promises regarding health care are antipodal to what has come about, and all created in secret negotiations, yet he still demands a bill that he will sign on any terms, it becomes undeniable to rational people with any integrity this is not about health care, but about setting up to rule the people.

In my opinion a must read. This is coming. What the Dems Know: Universal Voter Registration "A widespread belief is that the Democrats are committing political suicide and will be swept from one or both houses of Congress with unprecedented electoral losses next November. But since Democrat politicians rarely do things that will not ultimately benefit themselves [...] What do they know that we don't?'"
"Fund describes the proposal as follows: 'In January, Chuck Schumer and Barney Frank will propose universal voter registration. [...] It means all of the state laws on elections will be overridden by a federal mandate'"
"Universal voter registration will create massive vulnerabilities to systemic voter fraud nationwide, and if Democrats have proven anything in recent years, it is that they can win elections that way. The George-Soros-funded Secretary of State project (SOS) was designed to take advantage of such vulnerabilities and may have been developed in anticipation of the universal voter registration plan." No good, all bad, a feel-good facade->The insatiable beast of statism and permanent Democrat rule.

Obamateurism of the Day "Obama says that al-Qaeda expanded to Yemen because we opened Gitmo" [Video at link. Obambi:] "'In fact, that was an explicit rationale for the formation of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.'"
"Except that it actually wasn’t [...] 'Did AQAP explicitly give Guantanamo as the reason for its rebirth? Judge for yourself: Part 1 of the video can be viewed here and part 2 here.' [...] 'The problem with the president’s argument is that Guantanamo was not given as a rationale for AQAP’s rebirth or 'formation.' Instead, AQAP’s 'rationale' was al Qaeda’s stock-in-trade Zionist-Crusader conspiracy theory [...] the group’s ultimate goal is to conquer Jerusalem and take control of the al Aqsa mosque.' [...] 'Yes, Guantanamo is mentioned right at the beginning [...] However, Gitmo is only mentioned in the context of announcing al Shihri’s and al Awfi’s miraculous return to jihad.'
Does anyone at the White House even bother to do research before filling Obama’s teleprompter?" Liars or fools? The answer, of course, is that the Communisty Organizer in Chief and Team Teleprompter don't care what the truth is in the slightest. They will decide "the truth" citizen. 52% proved they'll lap it up.

Dangerous Minds By Thomas Sowell "When we look back on the Spanish Inquisition, on the Crusades of the past, and the jihads of the past and present, we see chilling examples of the effects of ideas. But the secular ideologies of the 20th century killed millions more people in Germany, Russia, and China"
[If we could get Progressives/Liberals/Democrats/Socialists to grasp this one concept to follow, Leftism would die in a day:] "If there is any lesson in the history of ideas, it is that good intentions tell you nothing about the actual consequences. But intellectuals who generate ideas do not have to pay the consequences.
Academic intellectuals are shielded by the principles of academic freedom and journalists in democratic societies are shielded by the principle of freedom of the press. Seldom do those who produce or peddle dangerous, or even fatal, ideas have to pay [any] price"
"Woodrow Wilson - our only president with a Ph.D. - was an academic intellectual for years before entering politics, and his ideas about a war to end wars, making the world safe for democracy, and the right of self-determination of peoples, have been revered in utter disregard of what happened when Wilson’s notions were put into practice [...] No one today takes seriously the idea that the First World War was a war to end wars, and many now see it as setting the stage for the Second World War."
"But Woodrow Wilson’s words sounded great - and that is what he and other intellectuals are judged by."
"Intellectuals and their followers have often been overly impressed by the fact that intellectuals tend, on average, to have more knowledge than other individuals in their society. What they have overlooked is that intellectuals have far less knowledge than the total knowledge possessed by the millions of other people whom they disdain and whose decisions they seek to override."

The insatiable beast that is statism still waxing. How long before this is federal, especially if socialized health care is passed? Minnesota to start database of people taking painkillers "So the state will have a list of everyone who has prescribed painkillers. What could possibly go wrong?" Minuscule legitimate good, enormous bad, and more government employees paid with more taxpayer dollars to do it. "This penalizes everyone, and invades the privacy of law-abiding citizens, in a nanny-state attempt to protect a few people from themselves. It’s not hard to imagine where this might lead. After all, when the state has access to personal information, it rarely misses a chance to use it."

one word, intellectuals, academics, health care, obama lies, gibbs
