Daily mild feelings of concern over things I really shouldn't let bother me

'Another Step Closer to a More Perfect Union': President Obama Says He's 'Very Happy' with Senate Vote to Confirm Sotomayor “the Senate has upheld today in breaking yet another barrier and moving us yet another step closer to a more perfect union.” Just so we're clear, we are a step closer to a more perfect union because a not-white person joined the Supreme Court. That's the only thing that makes her different. She replaces another Lib. She's none too bright. Unless one is hopelessly mired in backwards ideology, his comment is racist.
Speaking of which, check out this Liberal racist piece. What happened to post-racial America? "It would be absurd to say that everybody who voted against Obama is a racist" Riiight. I wrote him. I explained it would be absurd, but it would be disgusting and cowardly spin to to just imply it, as he was doing. I explained that Obama called his mother a "typical white person," put racist AG Holder in place and nominated Sotomayor because she's not white, all because post racial America was a lie. I mentioned he failed a derogatory insinuation toward 95% of blacks voting Democrat, despite the ever worsening lot of blacks for decades. Real racism will end when cowards like this author stop enabling it, I shared. I don't expect a response.
The the coming destruction of free speech marches on. New FCC 'Chief Diversity Officer' Co-Wrote Liberal Group's 'Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio' "The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced a new 'Chief Diversity Officer,' communications attorney Mark Lloyd.
But Doctor of Jurisprudence Lloyd is far more than merely a communications attorney. He was at one time a Senior Fellow at the uber-liberal Center for American Progress (CAP), for whom he co-wrote a June 2007 report entitled 'The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio.'
Which rails against the fact that the American people overwhelmingly prefer to listen to conservative (and Christian) talk radio"
See? It's not the death of free speech. It's to promote diversity as defined by a far Left government appointee. You disagree? Yo must be a racist.

WH: We’re not collecting names, we’re storing your e-mail addresses I feel so much better! "When asked, Gibbs acknowledged that the White House is required by law to save all correspondence it receives.
'Obviously, the National Archives documents correspondence with the White House,' he said."
I wonder if someone can file an FOIA request for it. I'd like to see who is snitching and what they have to say. And it'd be fun to see the numbers plummet the second the snitches know they will be named instead. I wonder if the Obamunists would try to block it. That could be fun, too.

Astroturf fantasies "Perhaps it's time they looked to their own to debunk the outrageous conspiracy theories being pushed not by fringe elements of the Democratic party, but by the president himself and congressional Democratic leaders."
"Democrats want us to believe that they are empowered by a grass roots movement of average and disadvantaged Americans who want "social justice," which translates into massive government involvement in the environment, healthcare and the economy. Framing the debate with the populist language of "have-nots" getting their due from the exploitive "haves," they tell the voter they are leveling the playing field, ensuring "fairness," and righting the wrongs of the past. It is one of many "chicken in every pot" promises that never seems to "right" anything, certainly not crime or poverty in Democrat controlled cities and states. The taxes and capital flight that accompany their enlightened governance never seem to deter those who believe their lies."
Violence At Townhall - Against A Conservative; Six Arrested, Including a Reporter "UPDATE: We have some video of the attack. It appears that it is members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) doing at least some of the dirty work.
But it's conservatives who engage in violence and hate speech, right?"
How to dress like an “authentic” grass-roots activist "My fellow members of The Mob: Barbara Boxer and Robert Gibbs have panned your fashion sense. Accordingly, I have compiled style tips from “authentic” grass-roots activists to assist you with proper wardrobe choices" Take a look.

Still a Good Question: Why Biden? I included this mainly for this line. "This theory's appeal lies in that it's very hard to figure out what Joe Biden is doing in the Obama administration in the first place, especially since every time he lends the benefit of his experience and insight, the White House corrects him." I chuckled.

Eating Is No Fun Anymore " Farm subsidies create real problems for the average American eater.
Farm subsidies have been around for so long that only octogenarians have lived in a food subsidy-free America. The first subsidies - introduced by Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930s - were marketed to the American public as a 'temporary solution'"
Doesn't that sound familiar? Thanks, Democrats. Again!
"Food Inc. boils the subsidy issue down to the basics: Farm subsidies artificially reduce the cost of some food - mainly manufactured and unhealthy snack foods - and create incentives for farmers to produce massive amounts of some commodities no single nation can possibly absorb.
So, what happens? [...] people start getting pretty creative with how to put those commodities to use. Enter corn - lots of corn.
U.S. corn farmers are paid to produce more corn than people can eat normally. As a result of this overproduction, corn is everywhere."
John Stossel's Take: Appeasing the Corn God "I've reported on the wastefulness of government ethanol policies. One of those policies protects U.S. corn farmers from competition by slapping a 54 cent tax on every gallon of ethanol imported from abroad. That means you pay more at the pump, and more for food" "The CBO estimates that 10 to 15 percent of the increase in the price of food last year was due to ethanol production." "President Obama is desperate to have the Iowa Republican sign on to some version of ObamaCare to give cover to jittery Democrats. So in a remarkable noncoincidence, the Obama Administration decided to roll over last week on one of Mr. Grassley’s major concerns: ethanol." Grassley is not interested in what's good for America. It goes without saying, neither is Obama. We can't have an honest President, because they all must pass through Iowa, which requires an honest person to condemn.
