From someone on my friend's list:
"Someone was plastering bumper stickers all over the loop today that said 'FIGHT ISRAELI TERRORISM: FREE GAZA'
That pissed me off."

Right now it's "just" the vandalism of plastering bumper stickers fomenting hate. Make no mistake, the basis of this is hatred. In my opinion one political party continues to enable this kind of hatred.

On a completely unrelated side note, I've heard a lot, and I mean a lot, relative to other religions, about how we should be cautious about stirring up hate crimes toward Muslims here in America. It's been quite the focus of one party in particular since 9/11 especially.

I wonder what the stats are on hate crime based on religion. HM...
Incidents and Offenses

"1,477 offenses" "9.0 percent were anti-Islamic." Yikes. That's 133. In a year. In the whole country. I can see why that's a grave concern.

Know what else I hear AD NAUSEUM (usually from that same political party), because I disagree with homosexual marriage? Hate crimes against gays. The argument seems to be that we have to allow marriage because gays suffer hate crimes... or something. Anyway...
"1,460 hate crime offenses" Hm. That's less than religion. Who'd have thought it? (59.2 percent were classified as anti-male homosexual bias. 24.8 percent were reported as anti-homosexual bias.) Since it's the guys who whine most we'll give them the benefit of the doubt here and add these. That's a lot less than I'd thought there were, but a lot.

Oh, I forgot. I was talking about the anti-Israel bumper stickers fomenting hate that will largely go unnoticed by the media.

68.4 percent of the 1,477 reported religious hate crimes were anti-Jewish, 7 times that of Muslims. Oddly, I don't recall hearing about that NEARLY as much as that of Muslims or gays. At all, really. Strange.

Well, this post rambled. Take from it what you will.
