In my opinion, energy will be the downfall of this country. We need to build better nuclear plants, and in a hurry. But with the Dems so focused on solar power and wind, which are expensive compared to nukes, it is not going to happen. Oh yeah, nukes don't emit any carbon during production, but we can't have that, no sir.

What is especially concerning is the energy infrastructure in this country is horribly old, overused and not properly managed. Kinda sounds like our highways. In CT we pay a federal tax because our transmission lines are overused. What is the solution? Build more lines and cables? Nope, a carbon tax. That'll solve everything.

I fully expect to see the demise of this country within my lifetime.

I agree with everything you've said, 100%.

SIX STATES were without power less than 5 years ago! No one cares, or even remembers. Yet we pretend we have a Homeland Security Dept that is looking to protect us. Infrastructure and rapid response should be two of the top 3 priorities.

I fully expect to see the demise of this country within my lifetime.

I do hate to be a downer, but I'm very much afraid this is exactly the case.
