The lie of left/right, socialism vs fascism

Oct 24, 2014 13:18

I want to archive this, as it's something I too often need to explain to people all along the political spectrum.

"[Some 'moderates' are trying to] revive that old saw of pre-World War II vintage, the notion that the two political opposites confronting us, the two 'extremes,' are: fascism versus communism.

[...]

It is obvious what the fraudulent issue of fascism versus communism accomplishes: it sets up, as opposites, two variants of the same political system; it eliminates the possibility of considering capitalism; it switches the choice of 'Freedom or dictatorship?' into 'Which kind of dictatorship?'-thus establishing dictatorship as an inevitable fact and offering only a choice of rulers. The choice-according to the proponents of that fraud-is: a dictatorship of the rich (fascism) or a dictatorship of the poor (communism).

That fraud collapsed in the 1940’s, in the aftermath of World War II. It is too obvious, too easily demonstrable that fascism and communism are not two opposites, but two rival gangs fighting over the same territory"

Fascism and Communism/Socialism

FDR (progressive), Hitler (National Socialist), Stalin (Communist) were rivals all on the same slippery slope, the same side of the spectrum that leads them all sliding into tyranny. Hitler and Stalin slaughtered their own citizens. FDR locked many of them up in concentration camps. Would he have done more? Each one was held back by nothing but the traditions and institutions within which they worked. Germany's were destroyed by poverty. Russia's by revolution. FDR fought to render the Constitution irrelevant and write one of his own that would have ended in tyranny "for the good of the people". He had the audacity to call it a Second Bill of Rights. It's, at best, socialism. read it. Ask yourself how those "rights" can be guaranteed in practice without eventually taking liberty from others. It is easy to argue, considering his assault on SCOTUS and locking up of Japanese Americans, that he'd eventually have reached the extermination phase.

The true scale is tyranny on the left and anarchy on the right. Having to choose between rulers is a false premise that benefits all those on the left, Democrat and Republican, who want to rule. The problem is we are so used to this Big Lie it is how we all think.

The next time someone says that fascism is the far right, especially if they bring up the TEA Party, ask them how small government and low taxes lead to fascism. We need to break from this lie. The tyrants are all on the left.
