Facts are not panic, leftists. But we know when your Dear Leader keeps failing, someone else has to be blamed for something.
WE'LL TELL YOU HOW DANGEROUS EBOLA IS AFTER THE ELECTION"What is it with liberals living in gated communities always telling us that fences don't work? THAT'S WHAT A QUARANTINE IS."
"Why, precisely, must we attack Ebola in Africa? Research on a cure doesn't require cuddling victims in their huts. Scientists who discovered the AIDS cocktail didn't spend their nights at Studio 54 in order to 'fight the disease at its source.'" [To be fair, I believe the source was bath houses in San Francisco]
"At the moment, more than 13,000 West Africans have travel visas to come to the U.S. Having just seen an Ebola-infected Liberian get $500,000 worth of free medical treatment in the U.S., the first thing any African who might have Ebola should do is get himself to America.
Of all the reasons people have for coming here -- welfare, drug-dealing, Medicare scams -- 'I have Ebola and I'm going to die, otherwise' is surely one of the strongest. The entire continent of Africa now knows that this is a country that will happily spend half a million dollars on treating someone who just arrived -- and then berate itself for not doing enough."
To all of which Democrats will respond... "Republicans are just trying to cause panic." Because Democrat voters really don't care how many Americans suffer and die, any more than they cared about the hundreds of Mestizo in Mexico who died from Holder's/Obama's Fast&Furious, or the dead in Libya from his war, or the dead in Arab countries from backing "Arab Spring" revolts that empowered terrorists, or the dead in Iran for not backing their revolt during "Arab Spring", or the dead in Ukraine, or the oil he let keep spilling on the Gulf, or an endless list of failures. They've been trained not to. It will be blamed on the Kochs, or Fox News, or Bush. Democrats care only about the Party telling them how to blame Republicans.
Six Reasons to Panic"The word “widely” is key. Because despite the fact that Duncan was a lone man under scrupulous, first-world care, with the eyes of the entire nation on him, his R0 was 2, just like that of your average Liberian Ebola victim. One carrier; two infections."
"and it’s a straw-man argument to say that a flight ban wouldn’t keep Ebola fully contained. No one says it would. But by definition, it would help slow the spread of the virus. If there had been a travel ban in place, Thomas Duncan would have likely reached the same sad fate-but without infecting two Americans and setting the virus loose in North America. And it’s difficult to follow the logic by which banning travel from infected countries would create more infections in the United States, as Frieden insists. This is not a paradox; it’s magical thinking."
"Frieden answered: 'I think there are two different parts of that equation. The first is, if you’re a member of the traveling public and are healthy, should you be worried that you might have gotten it by sitting next to someone? And the answer is no. Second, if you are sick and you may have Ebola, should you get on a bus? And the answer to that is also no. You might become ill, you might have a problem that exposes someone around you.'
Go ahead and read that again.
We have arrived at a moment with our elite institutions where it is impossible to distinguish incompetence from willful misdirection. This can only compound an already dangerous situation."
So after two weeks of complete incompetence and Orwellian doubletalk, what do they do? They add more government, of course!
The following is from Ron Fournier - a journalist left leaning enough that he still denies the Benghazi scandal.
Naked Politics: The Ebola Czar Has No Clothes"2. We already put somebody in charge of corralling federal bureaucracies and coordinating local responses to national emergencies. His name is Barack Obama.
3. He has a chief of staff, the nation's chief operating officer, Denis McDonough; a homeland security adviser, Lisa Monaco; a national security adviser, Susan Rice; a director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and a Cabinet full of secretaries."
...not to mention 15,000 CDC employees, at least one of whom are paid specifically to deal with infectious diseases coming into this country! The CDC budget for 2010 was about $6,500,000,000.00 (Roughly double what it was in 2K when Bush took office. The blame about budgeting is another leftist Big Lie. Hope Macht Frei!) You mean to tell me they don't pay one or two people to be in charge of a viral outbreak coming into the country? Hear I thought DISEASE CONTROL was what those last two letters stood for.
"12. Klain will report to Rice and Monaco. That makes no sense. Even if you think a czar is needed, and believe that the czar should be a Democratic operative steeped in White House politics, this reporting structure is a mistake. He should report directly to Obama.'
This is where leftist-sympathizing Fournier's blinders come back it.
It makes perfect sense to hire an "Ebola Czar" who is a left wing extremist entrenched in Democrat politics who does not report to Obama. His job isn't to protect Americans or deal with Ebola. His job is to gain power for Democrats ("never let a good crisis go to waste") while providing another layer of insulation between reality and Dear Leader. They don't care how many Americans die unless it impacts elections. I'll post something in the future about Klain's history -> among other things, the reason why every Democrat herd animal (and too many low information voters in America) believe to this day that Bush stole the election in 2000 is Klain. Klain is the guy who chose to sue with no basis, to choose only certain counties to muddy the situation, to push the Big Lie that SCOTUS stole the election for Bush. If Americans start dying, Klain's job is to tell Democrats how to blame Republicans. Their rabid herd animal masses will do the rest for them. Ideology uber alles.
