Rape, and the sick orwellian leftist mind

May 29, 2014 11:10

A lesson in the liberal mind. That's the main reason I'm posting this. For those who aren't yet familiar with the Orwellian, cult-like thinking of your progressive friends, I'm offering this to help clear it up ( Read more... )

rape myth, rape culture, rape

"Rape" is the new "racism". Once, everyone knew exactly what these words meant: there was no doubt about it.

Then, these left whack-a-doodles changed the entire meaning. The same as "All animals are equal", except for those who are "more equal". As with everything else, it's all about power. Make women feel insecure, uncertain about themselves, send them fleeing into the arms of an all-powerful gov't that can be "trusted" to "protect" them from things that go bump in the night. What effect does that have on actual rape victims to hear that someone else was "raped" because some horn dog once asked for sex more than once, or some cad promised that he'd respect her in the morning? They don't give a rat's ass about that, do they?

There's also the divide and conquer aspect here: drive wedges of mistrust between men and women. The left disgusts me more and more. "Liberalism is a psychological disorder": it's not hyperbole anymore: it's a statement of fact. Liberals are evilly insane, or insanely evil -- I don't think there's a difference anymore.

The comments over there at raw story site are also enlightening: all name calling of Beck, Stu, Morton Downey Jr. (whose TV show went off the air over 25 years ago) and even Rush Limbaugh who didn't have a damn thing to do with it. Not one citation of an actual fact that what Stu was saying was the least bit incorrect. Not. A. Single. Contradictory. Fact.

Excellently stated!

I commented on the video and even predicted I'd be screamed at for saying the same things you've said and I've said here. Sure enough, the shrieking began.

I laughed.

Liberals are evilly insane, or insanely evil -- I don't think there's a difference anymore.

That's the place I've come to as well. And I don't care who knows it. I spent YEARS giving liberals the benefit of the doubt, mainly because I KNEW many liberals and couldn't imagine them being so horrible. But that was only because we never really talked about these types of issues. (This was back in the earlier days of LJ and way before these people became so emboldened and insufferable. That all changed in 2004. That's when Bush Derangement Syndrome really took off and all the liberals lost their minds. I could tell you stories that would leave you slack jawed.

I'm done defending liberals and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. If there are decent ones around, then they need to demonstrate that to me. As far as I am concerned, they are the enemy - enemies of America and enemies of freedom.

" it's all about power. Make women feel insecure, uncertain about themselves, send them fleeing into the arms of an all-powerful gov't that can be "trusted" to "protect" them from things that go bump in the night." BINGO.

On the other side of the same coin, we have "Was it legitimate rape, was it rape-rape?" which silences women who were actual victims. Both serve to put other people in power over women's bodies.

I mean, how hard is it to just not stick your penis where it hasn't been invited? Speaking as a rape victim, the whole thing just pisses me off. I'm not fooled, I don't think for one second that any of these people actually have my welfare in mind. Not one of them loses a minute of sleep over any woman who has been assaulted. It's all just a word game for them.
