Rape, and the sick orwellian leftist mind

A lesson in the liberal mind. That's the main reason I'm posting this. For those who aren't yet familiar with the Orwellian, cult-like thinking of your progressive friends, I'm offering this to help clear it up ( Read more... )

rape myth, rape culture, rape

They want to argue rape is an epidemic. They enrage the base, convincing them they are being raped even if they don't know it. When even that doesn't cause enough reports they start changing the definition to the point where any interaction counts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I first began learning of this liberal/"feminist" nonsense when discovered online X-Files fandom in the late 90s. (Wow, it's been that long?!)

It all started with the fic ratings (which was fine) and then went to "triggers warnings" (which took me YEARS to even understand what that meant).

And everywhere I'd go online, I'd hear talk about rape - how it was such an epidemic, how this person had been raped and that one and oh, the trauma and on and on. I thought, my God! I'm in my 30s and have never been raped or known anyone who's been raped. These poor women! Where do they live that things are so horrible that apparently they can't even walk out the door?! Why did I not know these things?

And then very slowly I started realizing that "sexual assault" and even "rape" can mean... just about anything you want it to mean.

I also learned the twisted liberal thinking demonstrated in the video, where they make one thing completely equal to another, even when it isn't. A wolf whistle is sexual assault. A "Hey, baby!" is sexual assault. A pervy guy coming onto you is as bad as actual rape. Lying to you for sex is rape. (Because all of this makes you feel "violated", dontcha know!)

Don't even get me started on the insufferable women who call it "rape" when they were going at it, both happily consensual, but then she changes her mind a bunch of times in the process. If "No means no", then doesn't "Yes" mean yes as well? Yes or no - make up your mind!

Or the ones who are so drunk and stupid that they don't know who's doing what to them - and then ONLY the man is always at fault. Last I checked, it takes TWO. (But saying so is "victim blaming" and yegads, you can hear the shrieking when you say this!)

Or the worst females of all - the ones who change their mind AFTER the fact, and then accuse the man of rape. And EVERYONE believes the stupid woman and the guy is ALWAYS the monster and then has his entire life ruined because of it.

How ALL of these types of women sicken me.

But God help you if you even mention any of this among liberals. You will be shrieked in a way that you can almost hear through the screen. If they could reach through and scratch your eyes out they would do it. Of that, I have no doubt.

The thing is, it's a tricky situation. The last thing you want to do is accuse someone of lying or exaggerating when perhaps they really were a victim of actual rape. There's no way to really tell on the internet. For so many things (both online and off) you just have to take someone on their word.

It's sad that there are people out there who were really raped, and this left wing hysteria isn't helping them one bit. If anything, it's making it worse because how insulting is it to compare a real rape to someone who changes their mind or has sex while drunk.

Exactly. But in the twisted, upside down / inside out "thinking" of liberals, these two things are equal.

It's the same sort of insane liberal mentality that claims dropping a little water on a terrorist during waterboarding is equal to chopping off their fingers. Or that someone who disagrees with same-sex marriage is just as bad as someone who physically beats someone who lives the homosexual lifestyle. Disagreeing and physical assault are seen as equal.

That's how twisted and confused the minds of liberals truly are. And it's only getting worse.
