Detroit and national conversation

Some Democrats seem to be considering some actual conversation about the causes of Detroit falling.

I have a suggestion where they can start. Here's a flashback from that craaaaaaaazy Glenn Beck in 2008:

Commentary: The poverty of Democrats' ideas for cities

"For example, Detroit, whose mayor has been indicted on felony charges, hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961. "

"Five of the 10 cities with the highest poverty rates (Detroit, Buffalo, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Newark) have had a Democratic stranglehold since at least 1961: more than 45 years."

Wrap your head around that. A 50 year old born in Detroit has never had anything but full Democrat control of the city in their lifetime.

_____
For the record, no legitimate conversation will take place. Democrat public sector unions. Democrat lawlessness. Democrat corruption that must always come from lawlessness. Democrat spending. Democrat taxing. Democrat hostility to employers. Democrat welfare programs. More. None of it will be addressed. Either the Center for American Progress will hand out spin marching orders ("white flight", "the decline started before that", "Big ____", etc) or the discussion will simply fade in a few days. Democrats (and that includes the media oligarchy) can't have people seriously considering problems and solutions, especially when Obama is trying to run America much as Democrats ran Detroit.
