I WANT to like Rick Santorum. I really do. Yes, it's really off-putting that he dresses like a little boy, usually has a look on his face like he's battling diarrhea, I very much fear he'd cry if spoken to harshly, he backed Arlen Specter, and he responds to just about any question as we face economic collapse and possible civil war with some kind of Christian Tourette Syndrome... ("Mr. Santorum, what are your thoughts on the Fed buying up the collapsing Euro?" "LIFE! MARRIAGE! ABORTION!")... but I truly believe in his heart he means well and that his values are good. I do think there is a lot to be said for him.
Then his fans go and show me this.

I'll sum up his three minute answer: "I'm ignorant about this bill but government must regulate the internet because THEFT and PORN, for the children."
First, just stop at "I don't know shit about this." For two reasons.
The first is, if you don't know you'll likely bury yourself with your answer by pissing off people like me. The answer just can't go well.
The second has to do with the fact you don't know because most of Congress has as much understanding of the internet as I have of how a bill becomes a law. Worse, AFTER trying to learn about it to regulate it they'll somehow manage to know EVEN LESS than when they started. Then NONE of them will actually READ the bill they pass and couldn't hope to understand before it becomes law, a law that will be guaranteed to make things worse for everyone because lobbyists and Congressman's aides wrote it.
"We should regulate this thing I don't understand because government regulates everything else?" No thank you, sir.
