Ooh, yay! :D

*SQUEEEEEE!!!* They look great! I love them! :D! Bring them in a few months so I can see them in person, pretty please? *bambi eyes*

P.S. Make Winty a pair... Please? (That was Winter)

P.P.S. I will start working on Winter so she can make ME a pair. ;) I'm doing a little better with wearing clip-ons for longer...

P.P.P.S. It's working! Winter said if I got the supplies she'd see if she could do anything. Of course, if they do turn out, they'll probably be her's not mine, so... ;))

Edit: Oh, yes, meant to say I liked the title and cut quote; they fit well. ;))

*happy dance*

Absolutely!

Well, if you and/or Winter don't succeed or don't get around to it, I will try to remember to make you both pairs before I come. :D

(But yay for inspiring people to do crafty things!!!)

I'm glad you enjoyed the title and cut quote, the runners up were Mustang sending out all the fake Scar sightings and the flower scene; everything else felt too serious.

Yay! :D

Oooh! :D Thanks for the offer! *hugs* I'll let you know how the project progresses. ;))

(Speaking of which, Winter was wondering how big the wooden beads you used were? She sees getting that being the biggest flaw in the scheme. ;)))

Hehe, either of those would've been great too. :D Mmhmm, yeah, I know what you mean about the others seeming too serious.

(The sad thing is that in the many layers of strata on my desk there is no ruler or measuring tape...

However, Measuring Tape Girl came to my rescue and brought me one, so:

The body bead is 1"x.75"x.5" and the round one is about .75" in diameter. I was originally looking for two round ones, the body being slightly larger than the head, so as long as they seem proportionate you're probably good!)

(Hehe, I know how that goes!

Hurrah! :D Gratitude and thanks to Measuring Tape Girl!

Thank you! I'll pass that information on to Winter. :) Hopefully she'll do something with it then. ;) )

Hey, (this is Winter) Valia and I tried to track down supplies. We found paint. And varnish and a micron pen, but no suitable wooden beads! Where'd you find yours? Any suggestions for anything we can use if we can't find any?

Thanks!!!

P.S. Do we REALLY need two micron pens? Can we make do with just a brown one?

I found my beads at a specialty bead store. I walked in and asked the lady there and she showed me what they had that fit my vague description.

As for other options... do you have Sculpy or other hardening substance that you can roll into balls?

You're very welcome!

P.S. If it was just black I'd say go for it. Brown... I think you could use just the one pen... I used it for outlining the eyes and tracing Roy's spiky bangs. The other question would be, does it have to be a micron pen? Probably not.

Oh, of course! A specialty shop, which we don't have any of around here. ;)) We were looking in the local craft store, in the unfinished wood aisle.

Winter says Sculpey is a definite option. (Especially, I think, because she can/does also use it for dollhouse stuff. ;))) So, we'll see! :)

P.S. Hmm, alright, thank you! Hehe, Winter was pretty fixed on trying to match your list of materials, but we balked at buying both pens at once, hence the question. ;))

Well, I'm thinking I have to go back pretty soon (I am now quite sorry I didn't hurry in and snag another set to make Frodo and Sam for Hobbit Day) so I could get you some too. :)

Oh, that'd be lovely! :D I'd be more than happy to reimburse you, too. (Em, about how expensive are they, too? Because Winter and I are trying to figure out how many pairs we could 'order'; we need at least 4 so that we can each have a pair unless we can transfer them from hooks to clip-ons and vice-versa easily, but if we get struck by any other great ideas, it'd be sad to not have any on hand... ;)))

(I thought the prices seemed reasonable. I spent $5 on the wood beads (which made me two pairs of characters) and $3 was for the spirals so I could use a single set of clips...

I think the spirals are actually all you'd need if you had pierced ears? and then they just slide over the hinge of the clips. I feel like that ought to be explained in a more technical manner. :p

Now I need to figure out how many sets I ought to plan on buying. :D I'm thinking ten might be enough for our current plans?)

(Yes, that is pretty reasonable. :) Yay!

Well, maybe there's a more technical explanation, but I got it. ;)) Winter has a lot of earring hooks already from other jewelry endeavours, and she was thinking of maybe using a jump ring to switch between pierced hooks and clip-ons. She's not here right now, or I'd ask her to verify. :)

:D Yeah, hopefully ten will be enough for now. I was asking Winter earlier about what else she might want to make, and we came up with a couple, I think, but not too many yet. ;)) )
