This weekend was pretty uneventful I suppose, with the exception of last night. At around 4 I picked up Lindsay and we went to the mall to do a little shopping. I wanted to buy clothes but I had very little money so I bought a Sixteen Candles poster instead (score!). Then we went to El Tapitio, which I love because Mexican food owns. When we went to Mike's house we were the first people there besides Nick. That was a pretty good time, especially because now I have seen a few more movies that I can recommend (or not), but I'll do that later. After that whole experience we went back to Lindsay's house where we got no sleep--yay. In the past ummm about 36 hours I've gotten 3 hours of sleep. But I'm not tired so it's all good.
-Ride the Bullet---Do not see this movie. It's really strange, about this guy who apparently has a death phobia or something and all he does is have these random flashes of people he knows dying, or himself dying, and it gets kind of confusing to decipher which clips actually happened. It's based on something written by Stephen King though, so it can't be too normal. :)
+Little Shop of Horrors---Great movie/musical. I've seen it before, but really long ago, and we watched it last night again. It's quite humorous if you ask me, while maybe not being the most eloquent movie I've seen. Basically Rick Moranis singing is worth it.
+Mean Creek---This movie was incredibly sad, or at least I thought so. It's about a prank gone wrong and anything beyond that will kind of ruin it. Also you get to see a fat white kid beat box and spit at his video camera for about 5 minutes, which is always cool.
+Bridget Jones's Diary (1&2)---I think I just liked these movies because I could somewhat relate to her character and her self consciousness and all that jazz. And because it's British and I love those accents. The only problem was it was hard for me to look at Renee Zellweger because her face looks like that of a swollen, obese woman with rosacia, when she's really not.
+De-lovely---I didn't actually want to watch this movie, but Lindsay made me kind of, and I actually liked it. It was basically a biography of Cole Porter set to music that he wrote. Honestly though, he had a really messed up lifestyle. He was gay, or at least bisexual, yet was married to a woman. They didn't share a room and she encouraged him to have male 'companions'. It was all a little weird, but interesting nonetheless.
I think I'm done now, but I just feel the need to ramble sometimes.
