I decided a while ago that I wanted a place separate from the tech and writing journals just to ramble about general life stuff. And while those were LJ's, I din't wanna use LJ for the personal journal. Why? Invite codes. If anyone else actually wanted to comment but didn't have an account, this put a real damper on things.
So I went with Xanga.
I din't really like Xanga, though. For a lota reasons. Din't like that it din't alert you when you got a comment. Din't like the way "communities" are. Din't like that the comments were just that - never turned into conversations. And it's a pain to write in - trying to insert HTML into an entry is like having teeth pulled.
So now that LJ doesn't require either an invite or a paid account, I'm movin' here.
(Such a journal whore I've become...)
