monday night
monday night i caught up with my friend Megan. We did van tour together in 2000 and have kept in contact ever since. After Van tour I basicly left london within a few weeks and came back home. Megan stayed over for a bit longer then moved to Brisbane, where she is from.
I then went back to London about 8 months later and she moved to sydney. Terrible timing. She came to my 30th when we were back here in 2004 and met up a few times then, but she ended up going back to brisbane, and now im back in sydney!!!
Anyways, she has got a job which sent her for training down here so she came out to Eastwood and we met up for dinner at Eastwood hotel!
She doesnt drink much anymore, and as i havent really been out much started with a yummy jim beam, followed by a bottle of wine! Meg just sipped on 2 beers the whole night! I had to ask for 2 glasses as was too embarressed to say "just put a straw in the bottle!".. (am only joking!!)
anyways, eastwood hotel is the local from mum and dads and on a tuesday night has $12.00 steak, pasta or risotto, so was yummy as and will definately go back again. We then came back here so she could meet river (had to wake him after mum had put him down, but i swear he woke as soon as i went it) and played with him for an hour or so. He was in the best mood and totally showing off for Megan, who is just great with kids and clucky as!
Was sooooooo good to see her again, we both talked 100 miles per hour and she is back in a couple of weeks so will go into town and meet up with her then!
Poor darryl worked until 10.30 that night and got home around 11. Dad went over around 10pm to help darryl with a light switch as doc has tried to move it as it was sitting in the middle of a wall where i wanted to put a entertainment cabinet, and he cut holes in the walls, moved it and thencouldnt get it to work, but alas, dad and doc fixed it together!
