Thursday already
its Thursday afternoon already and i cant believe now quickly the week has gone.
Sunday, shopping for furniture/cars/paint.went out to dinner at the club with my folks, marie, andy and my other bro Chris and his girlfriend Vickey. by 8pm Doc and i were falling asleep and they had only just got there. River was playing up so we all said we would met back at mum and dadshouse, soon as we got home doc and river went to bed, and 40 mins later when chris and vickey still hadnt arrived home mum rang them and they were all still at the club! I would of stayed for a drink up there with them if id know, but went to bed and when they got here i jumped up to say goodnight, hopefully they dont think we are too rude, jetlag had hit and my eyes were hurting to stay up.
monday same - choosing paint colours, furniture and went to auto alley (parramatta road) to look at some cars and have a think. we went to see a nimbus but it didnt have any grunt, so went back to the drawing board with what to buy. Ive have settled on a honda odysy. doc wants a ute, toyota hilux, dual cab if poss. oh yeah, and spending hours on the phone trying to sort out all our stuff. health care, bank stuff, electricity insurance, rates etc etc etc boring but necessary
tuesday same - paint, furniture (went to ikea but doc hated everything there!!!) car hunting
wed - started work on the house, doc pulled down a wall and got rid of the fireplace. it was old and took up too much room. the place looks great now, though still have the skeleton wood in the wll as not 100 percent sure if it is structural or not. I went over to see Sarah, one of my oldest friends. She is an identical twin and has had identical twins herself, around rivers age, so he got to play with them and sar and i caught up.
thursday, - same as, dropped doc at the house to do more work via going to the hardware store and buying everything we need and get some samples of the paint i like to see if it would look good, and it did!
then i went to parramatta myers to redo my bridal registry. apparently myers have been bought by a uk company that took away half the stock so most of the stuff I chose was out of range. Coming down with the same cold that river, maz and nicky has so not feeling the best either, but you know me, hard as nails!
just waiting now for doc to get home as someone is coming to show there car to us any second.
Besides the basics, am loving being home. even though we are cold its still 18 degrees and sun shining everyday. we are just use to heatwave weather that we had in malta, uk and usa. Have to wear a cardy, so not really cold at all.
River is just loving it here, and i mean loving it. he just plays all day, hangs at the chook pen, runs around the back yard, plays with the plants, just a whole new world for him really. even though we tried to take him to the park as often as possible, its not everyday, or even every second day. Here he gets it all day every day, no more being stuck inside!!!
I miss my friends in london loads, but am excited they will all be coming out to aussie in a couple of months, so have loads to look forward to.
yeah for australia!!! now only if we could start winning some games!
