So far I am on day two of my Katima-travels.
Yesterday was my travel day, so I enjoyed 9 hours of busing! It was interesting, I think the bus drivers were a bit overwhelmed with my huge bag of stuff.
So my bus went from Peterborough to Kingston.
Then from Kingston to Montreal.
And finally from Montreal to Quebec.
In Quebec I met up with tho other Katima-crews. We all got onto the Katima-bus and went to the Katima-house.
It was very foggy driving from Quebec to Chicoutimi, so even though it is a forest the whole way there, we had even less visibility, so no forest gazing. Plus it was night so getting up here was dark, so it was no gazing at anything but what you could see in the bus! Whoa, excitement!
Well my group is fun, we have 11 people. 3 from Ontario, 1 from nova Scotia, 1 from BC, 1 from Alberta, 4 from Quebec. It is a decent mix!
I'm still trying to remember names so when I do people will be referred on a first name basis.
So what have we done so far?? Not too much. Mostly we are hanging around the house getting to know one another!
And today was a trip to town in the Katima-van! We went to this very cool coffee house. It was very nice, I had hot chocolate, which was good, but I got totally grossed out when there was a piece of lettuce stuck to my spoon. Ewws. One of the guys thought I had pulled it out of my mouth, and was saying that it had probably been in there for a while!
Interestingly enough, no one in the Katima-house likes 50cent, so we bought posters today that we are going to Katima-deface! I'm thinking a random speech bubble of the day! Who knows? Any recommendations?
Well that is it for now, no pictures today since I am still learning to use my camera!
