[13:25] MelsonDGD: it doesn't have a fixed pipeline. it's all programmable baby, awwww, yeah.
[13:26] Kevin: keep your shaders transparent to the user, you pervert
[13:27] MelsonDGD: just because you need to play with my function pipeline to get me to do anything useful doesn't mean i'm a pervert!
[13:29] Kevin: i bet it's embarrassing when your pipeline stalls, eh?
[13:29] MelsonDGD: there's always a price to pay to get a pipeline that can be expanded or shrunk at the request of the user.
[13:30] Kevin: it's pretty sad when branch prediction, caching and hyperthreading all fail to fill your pipeline. That's really when you need a specialist to massage your microcode
[13:31] MelsonDGD: yeah, but those specialists, while expensive, can work magic with a programmable pipeline.
