a general update
So it's been over a week since i've really done a proper update, i've been slightly detached towards livejournal of late, i mean i barely keep up with my f-list, and i never really could be bothered to say what i wanted to. As such i've missed a few key events that have been mentioned and decided to take a break (in my terms) from LJ. I think i went about 3-4 days without checking or posting or all that jazz, wierd for me. Time flew by though. Life is pretty simple at the moment, uni, work, soccer, and in between i act like a total geek, but thats me. Oh and i also avoid doing assignments as much as possible because the problem with having no idea where your degree is going is that you don't really see the point in doing the work.
But back to the geeky side of things, as it does generally take up most of my time - and gives me something to do while being an insomniac as everything else seems to take up my days.
Final Fantasy VIII - borrowed it from a friend, so far has been heaps of fun, i played it a long time ago but playing it again is addictive. I've already played about 14 hours and have only just started the second disc out of 4, i've also decided that i'd like to play it again from the beginning once i've finished it the first time so i can do all the side quests + get all the items etc. Also, it's made me want to play Final Fantasy IX and X again.. which i will most likely do sometime soon.
Star Trek: Enterprise - the most mainstream of all the star treks but still fun to watch in it's highly obvious plot way. Also the first star trek i've ever watched, not sure if i'd want to watch other ones though.
Finally a lot of my time and energy is currently being diverted to my new kitten (Squidgy) who i still haven't come up with a real name for, maybe jack.. slowly been trying to get him and Francis to get along amicably, as yet they are still always constantly fighting/trying to be dominant, i don't really have an issue with it until Francis gets Squidgy into a headlock and starts going at him with his back legs as well. However, squidgy is getting much bigger and Francis has become more affectionate at night when he's allowed in my room, but is still just as obnoxiously oppotunistic about trying to steal my food.
