This month has been just as busy as last month, if not busier. I finished my internship at Argonne and packed up and came back to Lafayette, IN to my very own apartment. I then rapidfire unpacked and cleaned until Craig arrived on Monday. Then we unpacked his car, and got the apartment spic and span. My mother was coming.
So mom and Ben visited for a week, it was actually a lot of fun, and mom and craig didn't fight or even really argue over anything. We went to Chicago and Indy for a day each and did lots of cool things around town, like a wolf park and a free zoo, with a walk with the wallaby's exhibit, Ben almost got to touch one until some other kid came up and scared it. Ben kept saying the whole way to the airport that he didn't want to leave and could he please visit again soon, like tommorrow. I think he had a good time. hahaha
Then Craig left to go get the rest of his things with his parents. They came out with a bunch of things and we're still unpacking his car. He broke the futon I had bought by flopping down on it like he does. So we returned it and got one just like his old one, at least we know when he flops down it won't break. But in putting it together I got my finger jammed in a spring mechanism, Craig's dad had to rescue me from it. It's pretty beat up, but should be fine in a week or two. So we have a functioning apartment now, if a bit messy, the unpacking isnt anywhere near done.
I started school again, and I've already been back to Argonne to run some experiments. I'll be traveling back and forth a lot this semester to do some work up there. I'm taking two classes, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, which right now is just Linear Algebra, and Reactor Physics, which I have this afternoon. I'm hoping to see my friend Jess from last year in that class.
So life is settling down into what I hope is a routine. I don't see a whole lot of sleep in this routine however, which is a little worrying, but hey, I get to work with uranium, and take class, what could be better.
