I'm not at all disappointed I didn't make Chamber Winds because I wasn't expecting to. I met the objective at hand by having what I felt was an impressive audition. It felt like more of a public service announcement for Mace's studio. I find it fitting all four saxes are either taking from Mace or no one. (And yay Sam!) But seriously, if I don't make Hardcorps, expect me to tweak. I've had Sir Duke down for a while ... you know, since like December. I'm not an awful saxophone player. It's almost some sort of vendetta of mine to improve so much people can't ignore it. Apparently (according to the three head honchos of Epsilon Nu), I have a high reputation around these parts as a player. I only plan to get better. And now with the combined forces of a teacher that knows his shit and a renewed work ethic when it comes to practicing, it's on.

My friends rule. Old, new, whatever. There are some really amazing people in this town. I feel like everyone focuses on the crappy people in this town too often. Sure, you need to acknowledge ithey're there because you can't ignore what you don't like, but the good is abundant in places a lot of people don't look. I love my section. I sure miss my old one, but I love what I have now. Change is always good, right?

There are plenty of young men in Southerners and the music department as a whole that are amazing people. Many of them possess the qualities to be called Sinfonians. If you are a man at JSU with a passion in your heart for music and want to be part of an amazing group of diverse people bonded by their love of music, please come to the smoker on Monday night. Even if you aren't interested in pledging yet, please come out anyway. I really look forward to this semester for a number of reasons, if not solely based on the AMAZING people interested in becoming Sinfonians.

In awesome and Hail Sinfonia!
