(no subject)
I haven't posted here in a hot minute...Here we go
Things at work are AMAZING. I haven't heard many people say they love their job, but I love what I do. And I'm good at it...Without ego I can say I do a good job every day.
I got off my training way early and got a fat raise to boot....7% hells yes...I'll take 15.74/hour any day!
I'm looking to get some extra hours just to see what overtime looks like on my check, and to see how the day shift runs. I'm also waiting to see what hours I'll be working on Memorial day...DOUBLE time and a half...I love that fucking gecko money!!
I know it sounds like I'm boosting about my life and my money, but I went so long without it, struggling to get it, and trying to find a job that I felt like I was good at, I feel like I deserve to.
On top of the great job, my relationship has been great. We were a little rocky for a little bit, but after a brief freak out things are back to the way they were. Trying to be young and have a good time and make an actual life at the same time is stressful for the both of us. I also agreed with her that it was time for her to quit McD's...No place that you make 7.50/hour at is worth being treated like absolute shit. We've saved some money and still got a decent amount coming that we don't have to worry about it yet...So we are job searching tomorrow :)
We are on the look out for another car, we've been driving my grandpa's old...old haha work truck for a while and it's just killing us on gas. Maybe in May, I'd rather not have to take up a car note, but maybe just a cheap car that will last at least a year while I repair my credit will be good.
I miss everyone up north, I had planned on coming up for Pride, I'm not sure if I'll get the time off yet or if I'll be able to front two tickets plus the cost of coming up there...It might be better to wait a little bit instead of rushing so I can spend more than just a weekend up there. I want to have fun with everyone and be able to visit some family too. So we'll see, I'll keep you all posted.
The weather has been so nice down here, sometimes I almost forget there was a winter and that it's just now spring.
In other news, I locked the keys in my house and my landlord is being a C-U-Next-Tuesday about it so I'm pretty sure I'll be spending the night at my mom's tonight until I can get to her office tomorrow.
Alrighty, I'm gonna go watch the Wings...I'm so excited they are on TV down here!!! w00t!!
