- Punk Rock Arashi (idk I just think this would be hilarious) with bonus Meisa and Maki
"You don't look edgy enough, Aiba, give me furrowed eyebrows - and stop jutting your chin out!" Meisa barks at an Aiba with twisted eyebrows and a sad puppy dog face.

"It's okay, Meisa, I'll just style his hair over eyes so no one can tell the difference," Maki calls out from where she's coiffing Jun's curls into an excessive fro.

- Sho and Maki create a line of mineral makeup inspired by the prohibition era (AU or non AU)
Sho and Maki, though generally agreeable people, tend not to agree on much when it comes to work, so when the Fasio decides on a line of makeup inspired by the prohibition era, they shake hands and part creative ways. Sho invents a dry line, full of nudes and pastels, crayon lipstick, mineral foundation, neutral eyeshadows for the perfectly innocent day look. Maki goes for a wet line, liquid cheekstains, flavored lipglosses, and eyeliner in electric colors for a sultry and mysterious night affair.

The only thing they agree readily on is when it comes time to choose a celebrity to endorse their brand: "Matsumoto Jun."

"I have cancer," Jun blurts out in the middle of dinner, just as Aiba is stuffing lo mein noodles into his mouth. "I didn't know how else to let you know, so, I mean -"

"So you decided to have me choke to death to make sure I go first?" Aibai wheezes as Jun quickly pours him a cup of tea - fresh from the burner - that proceeds to make Aiba choke harder as it scalds his throat on the way down. "You really are trying to off me first," Aiba accuses, but then softens when Jun remains staring at his carton of fried rice. "What are the odds?"

"Fifty-fifty."

"That's a fifty percent chance you will live to be further annoyed by me for many years to come."

Jun smiles tiredly. "You really are a glass is half-full kind of guy."

"Of course!" Aiba smiles and tosses him a fortune cookie. "Come on, let's see what your future holds. It can't get any worse."

"You will die alone and poorly dressed."

Aiba blanches, coughs and quickly whacks the cookie out of Jun's hand, fortune and all. "Well, you would never be caught dead in anything less than Armani, so we know that part is wrong. And I'll never leave your side from now on, so that takes care of the other half of that."

"Wait, never?" Jun asks dubiously.

"Yeah! Hey, let's make a movie about it."

"About wha -"

"And we can fill it with cool music and say things like in that moment we were infinite."

"I don't think documenting my life like that will make anyone feel better," Jun starts, except that for the first time in a week since he got the news, he actually does feel better. "Well, okay, but I get to choose the music."

"Fine, but none of that rainbow boyband pop you love so much."

- Summer Wars AU (not sure if you've seen this, but putting it here anyway) - Nino is King Kazma + whoever else you like

"Sho-kun, this is my cousin Ni - " Riisa cuts off as Nino eyes them warily through a crack in his door before slamming it shut in front of them. "no. He doesn't like going outside that much - my aunt worries that he's becoming a bit of a hikikomori." The last part is stage-whispered for Sho's benefit, but Nino's bratty voice calls out, "I heard that!"

Time to Begin is still on the radio ALL THE TIME so the movie and that line in particular is always on my mind, even though I still haven't read or seen it yet;;

omg because Aiba WOULD be jutting his chin out in an attempt to seem more punk rock. Also Maki coiffing Jun's curls into AN EXCESSIVE FRO is the best thing ever. (As you can probably tell, there may be a lot of caps proceeding from here)

OK idk how this prompt happened I think I was flipping through a copy of some ASOS magazine we had in the house. But omg I love how Sho and Maki are like a ~complementary design couple~ and also MJ will obv forever be the best makeup spokesperson

I loved this very very much because you totally had that whole indie vibe down pat (also 50/50 I see what you did there) -- "So you decided to have me choke to death to make sure I go first?" Yup this is great and also: "And we can fill it with cool music and say things like in that moment we were infinite." Yes omg this is EXCELLENT. I love that even from this exchange their relationship comes across so clearly.

Thank you for writing this even though you haven't seen the film! (I 100% recommend it, if you were wondering.) Any AU in which Naka Riisa and Nino are related is automatically A+. Also, A+ on Sho being Kenji because I will NEVER unsee Sho being asked to take up a part-time job as Riisa's hapless fake boyfriend. :D :D

- Baseball! All Nino wanted was to go to Koshien.
And this is lovely too, I really like the shift to Nino's internal dialogue (is it even what it's called? idk I am using terms really loosely here). Also poor Sho but yes this is Nino's moment of glory and YAMAPI'S GLAZED EYES how great is that description. I also seem to remember you not being particularly fond of Tegoshi is this why he has become unconscious? Also the last line "it will still be the single greatest moment of his life" - it's great how this is more or less complete and yet it also suggests a whole lot more.

I will never get over Aiba's attempt at a fierce look during Meisa's VIP room segment because he is too hilarious and precious to ever look fierce.

This prompt was so tricky until I remembered there were two sides to the prohibition. And yes forever to Jun as a makeup spokesman, because obv. I want to buy mascara to look as good as he does.

I REALLY wanted to add in more indie tropes to this one (like the existence of Michael Cera, lol!) but I'm glad you enjoyed this enough! Even though I haven't seen either movie referenced in this;;

It looked really interesting (and reminds me vaguely of one of the early Digimon movies) so I will definitely add it to my ever growing To-Watch list! Also, while reading the description for King Kazma I knew immediately why you chose Nino for him. ;)

And wow, you have an uncanny memory for idols I don't particularly like! XD Tegoshi is, well, one of those people I love to hate, although I used to really love him, but I pretty much did use him because I needed someone to be unconscious. So.
