Your character's name: Emiya, Shirou

Series your character's from: Fate/Stay Night

Background info on your character:
So, there comes a day in every man's life where he must face an experience that changes his life forever. And once upon a time, Shirou's life changed when he was caught in a huge fire. The fire destroyed everything and took many lives, include the lives of Shirou's biological parents. As the only survivor, nine year old Shirou was about to give up everything then until-- A man named Kiritsugu Emiya picked him up and treated him back to health. This man was going to be the critical inspiration of Shirou's life. Though their father/son relationship was short-- He learned everything about Kiritsugu. His secret identity as a mage and his dream of becoming a hero of justice; one who could protect the innocent and save the weak. Touched his dream, Shirou decides to become a hero as well and hops into the work of magic. Though he learns the basic fundamentals: Strengthening, Projection and Reinforcement-- Shirou proves to only be talented in Reinforcement. Alas, Kiritsugu passes away leaving Shirou to be adopted by Fujimura Taiga as his guardian.

Fast forward to a couple of years later. Shirou is now living his life as a high school student by day and training his abilities as a Mage by night. He takes his days well, repairing around the school, hanging out with his friends, has a few part-time jobs. Ahh. The good ol' life of Fuyuki City.

However, on one fateful night, Shirou witness a battle occurring between two dudes with huge-ass weapons. Awesome. Until one of them catches him, stalks him down into the school and stabs his heart. Not so awesome. The school idol known as Tousaka Rin (who is also a mage yaaaay) revives him with the help of a pendent. Leaving Shirou more confused than ever, he returns home to find himself ATTACKED BY LANCER AGAIN. Though he puts up a fight, he's still no match for the man in blue. At the verge of death, Shirou accidentally and litterly summons his knight in shining armor. Well, a girl in shining armor no less. Her first words are: "I ask of you, are you my master?"

And with that, Shirou had no idea what the hell he was in for. And to outline the whole situation, every some years in Fuyuki City, there's a grand battle royale between Servants and Masters for the Holy Grail. And the Holy Grail is said to grant one wish for the Servant or Master who wins the whole battle. There's seven Servants in total and each of them are formed after a legendary hero of the past. (Archer, Berserker, Caster, Lancer, Saber, Rider and Assassin) The Masters are all mages and Shirou just so happened to have summoned the strongest Servant of all; Saber. However, her power is cut down in half due to Shirou being a lame mage.

Now depending on the three routes of the game, the story will change depending on the choices you make. This Shirou is being picked up from the Unlimited Blade Works route.

In Unlimited Blade Works, Shirou's own ideal of becoming a hero is challenged over and over by the enigmatic Archer; Rin's own Servant. Can a man truly sell his soul to saving the world? Can you really save every living being on the planet? Could you really bring yourself to kill one person to saving thousands of others? The big answer from a normal person would be a HELL NO or LOL WHAT CRACK ARE YOU SMOKING. But throughout the story, Shirou stubbornly clings to this ideal of saving people and FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT. Because of conflicting ideals, him and Archer come to downright hate each other. And Archer even attempts to kill Shirou on more than one occasion. And as the Holy Grail War goes on, more shit goes down. The team of Rin/Archer and Shirou/Saber manage to battle through everything other Servants and Masters throw at them. Caster (one of the Servants) becomes a problem later on. She manages to capture Saber and removes Shirou's Command Spells (proof of mastership) But determined to get her back, Shirou, Rin and Archer head out on a rescue mission to Caster's lair.

But eventually, Archer pulls a double-cross, betrays Rin by breaking the contract between master and servant and tries to kill Shirou once again. Without Saber for protection, Shirou is cornered. But Rin makes a new master-servant contract with Saber and she manages drives Archer off. It's then revealed that Archer himself is indeed Shirou from the ~*FUTURE*~. His grand master plan: A) Become a Servant. B) Get summoned back in time and C) Find Shirou (his past self) and kill... himself. This was in hopes that the future would change and Shirou would not become an hero of spite and regrets. With this, Archer captures Rin and challenges Shirou to a battle of the fates.

But it wasn't until his whole fight with Archer that he realized that the whole idea of becoming a hero might become... fruitless. A hero's path isn't all fun and games as he cracked it up to be. If you can save one person's life, then another person's life would not be able to be saved. And the biggest enemy of a hero is the hero's own ideal. You can make many people happy, but it wouldn't matter if YOU weren't happy overall.

Shirou's brain works differently though. He fights in order to help others and his happiness comes from other's happiness. Shirou decides to continue his walk down the hero's path, though he realizes it will bring him pain later on-- And with that, Shirou defeats Archer and Rin break out of her imprisonment with a little extra help from Lancer. But the party's crashed by Gilgamesh and his new master, Shinji. As the "LOL FINAL BOSS" of the game, Gilgamesh flaunts his vault (as in THROW LOTS OF SWORDS AT YOU) and reveals his plan of summoning the Holy Grail and opening a portal to hell. After of a night of planning and... mana restoration (read as hot n' steamy sex) Shirou, Rin and Saber decide to crash the party. Saber takes on Assassin, Rin goes to save Shinji from the growing puss that is soon to be the Holy Grail and Shirou faces off with the King of Heroes; Gilgamesh.

Saber defeats Assassin. Followed by Rin saving Shinji (with the help of Archer) and Saber destroys the Holy Grail. Shirou manages to corner Gilgamesh with his Reality Marble - Unlimited Blade Works, but Gilgamesh corners him with a BLACK HOLE. Archer once again saves his own tail and kills Gilgamesh. With the Holy Grail War over, Archer leaves Shirou up to Rin and disappears without any regrets. And a few months later, Shirou is dating Rin and decides to become her apprentice in his dream of becoming a proper magus. He still wants to save as many people as he can, though.

Of course. If I were to sum up all of F/SN in one visual gratifying work of art: This would be the picture.

Now for Shirou's personality. As explained in the plot of UBW, Shirou is indeed messed up in the head. Where normally people put their own happiness in front of others, Shirou himself NEEDS other people's happiness in order for himself to be happy. This is more or less a self-destructive path. You can help everybody, but you wouldn't be happy. Shirou lives off of his own ideals, but still, he's your average teenager. Has high ambitions, tries to see the good in everyone and he's a bit slow when it comes to women sometimes. HE'S NOT THAT HOPELESS.

As for Shirou's skills: As explained before, he's only good at Reinforcement. But the source of his strength lies within Tracing. Tracing involves Shirou being able to create objects out of his imagination. Swords, bows, sheaths-- The works. And this is only after he observes the ORIGINAL object. However the downside to this is that Shirou cannot make the object as perfect as the original. If it has a special ability such as "a sword cutting down a mountain in one swipe", he cannot make it cut in one swipe. It's only a imitation, after all. But who says the imitation cannot beat the real thing? Shirou even manages to create a world of infinite swords-- hence the name "Unlimited Blade Works" for his Reality Marble. And proves that "my fake swords > your real swords lulz" by beating the crap out of Gilgamesh and his vault.

In short, Shirou is pretty awesome when it comes to imitating swords and things like that. But he's sort of an idiot when it comes to almost everything else. That's why people love him, love to hate him, etc. And he's being apped at the True End of UBW route.

Sample post:
---Ow! That really hurt! Gah-! Well, that test is over. I've already pinched myself a couple of times and can tell this isn't a dream. I wonder if I messed up a spell again. But right now, there's no time to reflect on my mistakes. I need to find a sign, map or something to tell me where I am. Oh, this sign here says... Ehhh? "Siscon Beach?" Just what kind of name is that!? This isn't a resort I've ever heard of. Maybe this is a practical joke run by the kids here.

---Huh? Those looks like children over there. Ah, excuse me! I happen to be in a bit of trouble, you see-! Children? These aren’t children. They’re monkeys! And they’re even wearing hats, shorts, shirts and shoes. I’m a bit relieved Fuji-nee isn’t with me, she would have a fit with the sight I’m seeing. Let’s see... Humans and monkeys are from the same roots, right? So maybe they’ll understand what I’m trying to tell them. This shouldn’t be too hard, right? I’ll approach with a more friendly touch this time. Hey, little guy. Would you care to help out a distant relative?

Gah-! What the--! Get off of me! A-All of you! I don’t know if this is your way of saying hello, but please listen to me! T-That’s my hair, you--! I expected wildlife to run away from people, but these guys are a bit too friendly! A-Actually, this isn’t friendly at all! Sorry, but off you go. And you. My leg isn’t the best place to cling onto, please get off. I wonder what’s making them go berserk like this.

... Ah. No wonder these guys were running wild. This path of destruction is obviously Tohsaka's work. It's rough, messy and shows horrible aim. Best I get moving. Let's hurry before she causes more damage.

... Are the monkeys still angry? Listen, I'm really sorry about the damage bought to your home. If I could make up for it, I would. Maybe I'll come back and replant a few trees later, but right now, I have to find Tohsaka.

Don't get me wrong, though. Between you all and that explosive teacher running rampant-- I'd rather stay with you monkeys, but the situation can’t be helped.

A list of things your character might have on them:
-His clothes (of course)
-Box lunch yaaaay
