Just a reminder that I no longer post personal journal entries here. Go to Insane journal for that. I keep this account for reading locked entries, posting comments, and maintaining communities-- though I may pass on the latter to others.
Livejournal is instituting a "three strike rule" against content that is questionable rather than flagrant violations of their Terms of Service. This is an improvement. This makes me happy for those who keep using Livejournal. (Although right now they're being stupid and giving people "strikes" for content they already deleted, because it's still cached on the servers somewhere.) However, I am not happy enough to keep using this service. I'm especially not happy enough to keep paying for this service, and when my paid account expires I'll start seeing advertisements, so SixApart will still be making money off of me. On the other hand, Insanejournal charges just $40 for a permanent membership right now, not much more than a single year here.
