Wow. So, my grades have gone steadily up every semester so far, and that makes me pretty damned happy. I'm floored by my GIS grade, and now I really need to e-mail him about my project to see what he thought. I can't believe this, after the whoa finals week I had, taking a final in the same room, at the same time as my mom was packing, after studying only that morning. Whoa.
I'm still trying to get into Orgo at UDub, but they are morons, so who knows. They won't give me in-state tuition, since they say I have not proven well enough, after 3 packages sent and 4 visits to their offices, that I am a resident of FL. Apparently, cell phone bills, water bills, car payments, student loan payments, and cable bills, plus my passport, ID card, and voter registration do not justify the fact that I've lived at this house in FL for 5 years, and in FL my entire.freaking.LIFE! Plus, who in their right minds would make a class that has a lecture section for 60, but lab sections that only accomodate 40? WTF?! Now I know why I left FL public education behind... the bureaucracy behind them is ridiculous.
I have no idea what I'll do if I can't get into this class. Volunteer at the institute, or downtown digs, I suppose. Since our Jeep was totaled, I can't get a job not at my mom's office, because I have no transportation. Luckily, the company whose dump truck nearly killed my dad (he was pushed from my side of Blue Angel, closest to Lillian, through the intersection of Blue Angel and 98, to the McDonald's turn lane.... yeah, think about that) gave us the replacement value of our Jeep, which is enough to buy a brand new car (albeit, yet another Grand Marquis, which, btw, we ALREADY OWN ONE OF THOSE OLD-PEOPLE CARS!!!) with all these Memorial Day/May sales.
Oh, who knows. I want to make movies. And learn how to cook. And how to drive. I can do before the end of August!
