It's been a long couple of days, to say the least. At the family gathering today after the funeral, at one point I think there were three different people who were sound asleep. That's a pretty high percentage, considering.
But now I'm home. My mom is out and my sister is going to work, and likely out after that. I will have the house to myself.
Fortunately, I am hoping that I will have something to occupy my time. The
Live Lumos LeakyMug is tonight, and there's going to be streaming audio available for a couple hundred people. I'm hoping, very much hoping, that I'll be able to be one of those couple hundred people who is able to listen. Very, very much hoping. I worked with a couple of other people in ensuring the success of Pottercast at
Podcast Alley this month. And we were successful. And the payoff is that not only is John Noe going to sing is "New York, New York" filk tonight, but John and Melissa are going to reprise their famous "It's Voldemort Outside" filk. To say nothing of The Remus Lupins opening for them. To say nothing of the Leaky-Mugglenet Trivia contest. So, I'm really hoping I get to listen to it.
Plus, um, you may not have noticed, but I have this thing about liking Pottercast. See, I kind of like it. So, you know, it'd be cool. To listen to it tonight. Since I kind of enjoy it from time to time. This definitely would not be a bad time to have something cheerful and positive come into my life. So, we'll see.
