So I have started on something in my to-transcribe list after all! XD
In a comment thread in one of finanwen's entries in g_clef_no_arash, I mentioned that I have a list of songs and instrumentals to transcribe. Currently, there are 6 songs and 6 instrumentals in that list. I had always thought that it would remain just that: a list, with no results whatsoever.
Apparently I was wrong.
These are the first 7 measures of my transcription of "Yurameku Kimochi," one of the instrumentals from Hana Yori Dango Season 1. A search on Youtube for renditions of this track produce quite a number of results, and it's not far-fetched that someone else has already transcribed this.
There's still a long way to go, and notice that I haven't even started on the lower clef. (I'm not sure why it isn't an F-clef, maybe the left hand notes are high enough for a G-clef?) I don't know when I'll finish this, but I definitely will. Based on the file history, I started on this last July 9, 2011. That's a year and a day from today. Maybe, just maybe, I was meant to find this piece at this particular time. Because life works like that.
Maybe those 6 years of formal piano studies won't be a waste, after all.
