Bradley effect? Uh, not so much. It now appears that a substantially larger number of white Democrats voted for Obama than voted for anyone since JFK (Politico said Carter but I've checked the numbers and it's JFK). Remember what the press was saying about white Democrats never voting in Obama but they would vote for a Clinton? (snork) Uh, not so much2.
BTW, I have great respect for the Clintons but I have more respect for Obama (who is friggin' brilliant ... everyone see the presser yesterday?). Everyone is upset about his handling of Gitmo related issues lately but we don't know the inner mechanics. I trust him to sail us through it whereas I wouldn't have climbed on Bush's boat if someone put a gun to my head.
Speaking of the Fetid Shrub, here's an interesting article on
why people vote for Republicans. BTW, the article doesn't make the point but they clearly mean right-wing, present-day wacko GOP not people like Lincoln Chaffee or Arlen Specter. BTW3, I also profoundly disagree with the contention that this mindset represents "the majority of Americans". It's about 25% -- the same block of idiots that still support the shrub. I think President Obama proves that point.
I haven't done flying lasagna stuff in quite awhile so I'm going to post some transhumanist goodies tomorrow. The singularity ... the event horizon ... the eschaton. A good time will be had by all.
I know I've missed birthdays lately with my relapse -- happy birthday to anyone I've missed with my sincere apologies.
My kid sister (yes, my 44 year old kid sister) is coming up for her birthday on the 26th. So happy birthday,
mindytanner, even though you'll be here when the birthday occurs. lol
