Big News for Detroit Local 101
So for a year now I've been blogging, blabbing and bulletin-ing about the local music show I co-host with Suzy, Detroit Local 101 on Riff2. We've had a killer first year, with tons of local music played, and several awesome in-studio guests who have performed acoustically on the show -- including Wolfbait, Grande Nationals, Capitol Cities, Koffin Kats, Johnny Headband and The Paybacks! Don't forget our special episodes highlighting things like the Hamtramck Blowout, Labor Day Weekend festivities and our hommage to indie lables.
Our one-year anniversary show will actually not be on a Tuesday, it will be THIS SATURDAY from 10 p.m. to midnight. And get THIS: This Saturday and Sunday Riff2 will be simulcasted on WRIF! So that means all this weekend when you tune in to "regular WRIF" (101.1 FM or wrif.com) you will hear what is being played on Riff2 -- that means LOCAL MUSIC TWICE AND HOUR (in addition to two hours of local music on Detroit Local 101) and absolutely NO COMMERCIALS all weekend...because that's how Riff2 is all the time!
So check out the one-year anniversary show of Detroit Local 101 from 10 p.m. to midnight this Saturday on HD radio at 101.1 HD2 or on regular FM radio at 101.1 FM. It will be a very special show -- you never know who might call or stop in the studio!
