Bible Study and the Colts

I have a headache. It is Monday. I am not sure right now whether these two are related.

I am listening to "The Mob Song" from Beauty and the Beast. When I was watching this movie on Friday night with Jenna and Jeffrey, I thought they said "Praise the Lord and here we go." But then there was some debate that it said "Raise the log." But I was listening to it just now and could have sworn they said "Praise the Lord." So I looked it up online and it indeed is "Praise the Lord." Hmmm. What an odd lyric. In that context, I mean.

Tonight Paula made dinner for us before Bible study. It was delicious! We had chili and cornbread, along with cake for Veronika's birthday and of course the regular candy corn/peanuts/M&M mix she usually has for us. I had three pieces of cornbread. Today I realized how bread, in all flavors and varieties, is one of my very favorite things to eat. I had two pieces of garlic bread on Sunday at the Webster's house. Yum bread!

By the way, Sunday was amazing. Jeff, Jennifer, and I all went to Fort Wayne to visit the Webster's (my cousin and her husband, along with their five children under the age of 13). We went to their inner city church, the Love Church, and that was something else. I always like going there. The Webster's love the Colts and obviously Jeffrey and I do too, so we went to watch the Colts game with them. They even had Colts ice cream-- with chocolate covered footballs! All decked out in their blue and white jerseys and everything. :) Perfect. Tanner (I think he's five now) loved Jeffrey. He would crawl all over him and want to play catch with him, basketball, hang on his arm... :) It was so cute. I was talking to Shari in the driveway and glanced over at Jeff spinning a basketball on his finger, Tanner staring up at him in awe. Jeff in his Indianapolis Colts hoodie and Tanner in his little Colts jersey. :) I can't even tell you how much fun I had there. It's always nice to go to their house; I love it.

9-0. Yeah I know how to pick 'em. ;)

(That would be the Colts. Still undefeated!)

The bible study tonight was so good. Once again, an amazing time of talking about what God has taught us this week through the devotionals, watching some more of our video, and sharing prayer requests. I shared more than I usually do tonight, and I even apologized. I don't know what it is lately, I just can't stop talking. I just let it all out with Jeffrey or my bible study... Sigh. Listen more than you talk, Mel! Anywho, I was driving Brittany's car back to the dorm because she had let me borrow it and Cortney asked if she could ride with me. I am so glad she did-- we had the most amazing conversation. We really do connect on a lot of different things. She thanked me for opening up tonight because it encouraged her-- she's going through a lot of the same things. I praise God for what He's been doing in my life through that Bible study. Granted, at first I wasn't so sure about it... But now I can see God using it in my life to help me grow. And to teach me that I really do need fellowship with believers-- not just sitting next to them in class either.

I am incredibly thirsty. I need water, but all I have is a drinking fountain. :P

Well I'm going to do my devotionals now. I hope you have a marvelous night. If there's anything I can be praying about, let me know. I miss and love all of you.
