Amen to all of that. It's true, Mel - just remember THIS is not what writing is about. Writing freely, with passion, from *your* heart...that's not what college is supposed to teach you. It is supposed to improve your writing skills simply by lots of practice, but no one (NO ONE) can be expected (nor expect themselves) to write with passion and happiness all the time with something that is required!!!!! Especially not when you are trying to balance all sorts of other classes and responsibilities, too. You haven't the time to devote to it like that. So remember, like Sarah said, this is not what writing (free-lance) is about, at all. It is mainly, simply college - do it and get it done, write about whatever crap they throw at you (like writing 5 pages on, really, the intergrowings of mushrooms? Come on, people). But in a few years, you will be free from that, and once more your writing can flow with passion, because it will be something YOU want to write about, and it WILL come from your heart. Promise. :-)
Love you! 'Be praying! :-) *HUG*
Love,
Lans
