A good December so far
On the 6th: Work Christmas party was great, lots of delicious food, chatting with people & their spouses, and then playing games with the handful of people my age.
On the 13th: Avon Christmas was fantastic. Katie & Ami's dinner was delicious, and Tri-Bond was definitely a throw back to middle school. I think next year's P.C. Christmas will be hilarious. Somehow, I don't think we'll quite fulfill the goal..
On the 18th: Game night with work people this past week went well. Four of us got together & played Wii games & ate spaghetti. It's so nice to see people outside of the office, where we can relax and... well... not work. We decided a follow-up game night or movie night is definitely necessary.
The 19th: A belated celebration of Colin's b-day. John, Sarah P, Colin & I kicked off the evening with dinner at Aesop's Tables - all four picking the delicious 5-cheese baked ravioli. For dessert & beverages, we went to Scholar's Inn. Dessert was awesome, but our waitress was even better. We even convinced her to sit & have a drink with us. After eating and lounging, we went back to John's apartment to cool down the evening with board game fun. We were settlers in a strategy game, then played Catchphrase until we were too tired to think straight. Overall, a good evening with a lot of laughter.
Since then, I've started catching up on sleep, the family put up the Christmas tree, I decorated our stairs, Kate & Whitney baked sugar cookies. I do love the week around Christmas.
I love it more this year because I'm taking the whole week off. So sweet.
Tomorrow: finish shopping for last two gifts on my list & if I'm really motivated, wrap everything.
