Since the last post was so damn depressing, here's one that is very not!
Back in June, my grandmother and I took a quilting class together. She's been quilting for decades, and I just started seriously working on it a few years ago. Anyway, I found this pattern that I fell in love with, and there just happened to be a class at a local sew-vac shop. So grandma signed us up!
This is from the French Braid book. It's just a simple tablerunner, but I LOVE the colors (most of which were picked out by the boyfriend). I picked the main fishy that I wanted to build from and Jimmy pretty much picked everything else. Even the backing and binding.
The boyfriend taking a break from Warcrafting to model the finished table runner for me.
A shot of the backing fabric.
He considers it 'his' now, because he chose the fabric. This is where I tried to take it away from him.
Yay for quilting!
