So Sad...

:( aw.. I really wanted Kerry to win, but it's ok :)

If the majority of the nation really wants Bush as president than that's exactly what should happen. It will almost make it easier having Bush as a leader for the next for years, knowing that he DID actually win the popular vote this time...

... not less painful... but easier :)
Alas, it is the paradox of democracy: majority rules vs. the protection of individual rights.

And besides, power in this nation comes in cycles. The democrats will be in power again one day, no worries. Before the election yesterday, I asked God, not for a Kerry win, but for an honest win. For the president to be who the people want. I also asked to not be disapointed with the future administration. If God believes I'll be happy, the next 4 years shouldn't be too bad. :)

And there were little victories within this election: Dennis Moore in Kansas, Obama for IL!!!!!! Emmanuel Cleaver.. the list goes on....

And also, despite all of this polarization going on, the majority of Americans DO lie in the middle of the political spectrum. In other words, Bush or Kerry, Republic or Democratic, most people like a healthy balance between the two... sometimes you just have to work a little harder to see the similarities instead of being grumpy about the few differences...

And like I said, that will be easier knowing Florida wasn't stolen!

:) Just kidding!

So right now I will try to take the high road. Yes everyone. I voted. I lost. Now it's time to be a responsible citizen. I'm not saying that I agree with everything Bush is going to do in the next 4 years (NO WAAAAY ^^), but I am still in America, and darn proud of it:

^^ I hope he does his best.
