[After the latest drama revolving a certain ill-tempered dragoon knight, Edward found himself lured towards the outdoors even more. It’s a shame when you literally have to sleep with one eye open because of fear of being killed in your sleep, but considering Kain’s actions so far no one would fault the poor bard for being paranoid

[Terra passes through, deciding that she'd had enough of her mental checklist for the day. A peaceful walk is in order. Instead, a random glance in one direction allows her to catch sight of Edward. His downcast state doesn't escape her notice and she changes direction to catch up with him.]

...Edward? What's wrong?

[Spotting the kind girl once she approached, Edward let out a deep sigh. She reminded him vaguely of Rydia mainly because of her long green locks. However, there are things about Terra that certainly solidifies her as her own person, but Edward couldn't help but wish it was the summoner standing before him now.]

Something terrible has happened, a friend has gone missing...

[Terra bit her lip, concern deepening.]

I'm sorry, Edward. It's a kidnapping, right? They haven't been returned home?

[He shook his head.] No, they haven't returned at all...

Rydia, she's...she's missed by all. If it had it my way, I would rescue herself with the aid of my comrades, but we are powerless to save her.

[Sigh]

The Malnosso have her, and no one knows who these people are or where they're hiding.

[Terra nods, sympathetic.]

It's a horrible feeling, to be helpless to save your friends. At least you can help her when she returns. I know it's not much compared to stopping them from taking people, but...it's still something.

[The girl was right. If Rydia returns, she shall need all the help he can give. Now isn't the time to be wallowing in grief, but planning a way to assist the summoner if the Malnosso done harm to her. Perhaps talking to Kain about this matter once he's calmer would be a wise idea, especially since he's the closest to Rydia these days...]

That it is. You've given me food for thought, but how I wish could act now! Her disappearance weighs heavily upon us all, but the one she has coveted as her lover is certainly unwell now.

[To this day, it still floors him that he's not talking about 'Edge' being the summoner's beau.]

I fear that his sorrow has become a fury that none of us can tame. For one too many times, my life has been threatened by Kain. I must say, I grow weary of it.

[Mention of earns Edward a concerned glance. She tugs at the end of her ponytail.]

He just...snapped? Has he hurt anyone?

[She bites her lip.]

I don't know if he considers us friends, but I could try talking to him, or at least keep his attention away from other people. Maybe he just needs to be worn out....

...or have a Sleep spell cast on him.

[Honestly worried about Kain potentially harming Terra, Edward had to advise her against that idea.]

It would be too dangerous for you to speak with him now. I've tried to appeal to his logic before, only to face the end of his spear for a second time. Kain listens to no one, I doubt he would even heed Cecil's words.

The man is too far gone in misery and despair, and to be honest...I'm losing sympathy for him.

[Terra crosses her arms, frowning in thought.]

But...if he's snapped to the point of harming people or himself, he can't be allowed to remain that way. Worse could happen.

This I know, but I wish not to lead others into the fray especially those who shouldn't be buried within our troubles. It wouldn't be far to ask for help amongst others.

I wish not to lead any other into this chaos, we shall figure what to do for ourselves.

I hope so, Edward. I don't want to stop Kain, if he tries to fight everyone...but I will, if I must.
