Maeve/Roger/Lily
This was the first year Maeve had to work over Christmas, so the night before shift seemed like a hood compromise considering she had her daughter to think of. Lily could spend the night and the morning with Roger, Maeve could have a couple of hours sleep and preparation and then pick her up. It was perfect!
Well... It sounded it. It was actually a little sad knowing Lils would be up and opening presents and that Maeve wasn't there to see it. Instead she poured herself into her work and making the mornings of her little patients all that much better despite being in the hospital. Maeve was still excited by the time she headed over to collect Lily from Roger and his family after lunch. It was like a second go at Christmas for the afternoon!
Knocking, she laughed as she heard Lily running to the door.
