Birthdays, Movies and such
John turned 37 yesterday and he spemt it the way he likes to spend it. Quietly.
The theme was Jedi. :-D
I made him his favorite food and got him his Cherry coke. He got a guitar from his daughter and a recliner or two from me and dinero from the parentals. :-D But, I think what he is anticipating the most is the gift from my brother.
Those two are like brothers... they like the same crap but they are completely different. John is quiet and methodical and well my brother is not. They are both passionate and protective of their families. I lucked out that they get along great.
There were not a lot of fireworks around the house so we went to sleep sans a problem.
We saw Transformers.... and that movie just cemented my love of Bumblebee. It was not the best movie out there but it was fun. What was cute is when Optimus Prime and Megatron showed up the crowd went bonkers. Shia LeBoeuf did really well. He kind of reminds me of John from Die Hard. A reluctant hero that pulls through and gets the job done with maximum destruction involved.
By the way... go see Live Free, Die Hard. Still the best summer movie I've seen in a long time.
I'm watching tennis and Nadal won! I want to see Nadal vs. Federer in the finals!!!
