I got my questions from
0penhearts 1. You're a tall girl like me. Do you get the "how tall are you?" or "you're TALL" comments all the time like me? How do you answer?
Oh god do I! It seems like not a day goes by that I don't get asked how tall I am, or the ever popular 'You're Tall'...and of course my favorite ones are the people who act surprised and go 'WHOA...' with their mouths hanging open then go 'You're tall...' It seriously makes me feel like I should be attacking Tokyo with Godzilla! I'm so self conscious about my height as it is, those comments just really irk me, like I don't know I'm tall? It's funny cause people always say, 'oh if you see someone heavy set, you shouldn't say anything about it...don't make them feel uncomfortable' or 'If they have a disability, don't mention it' and I'm not saying being tall is a disability, but seriously? Yes, I'm tall, do you need to tell me that? LOL Unfortunately, I'm so freakin polite to a fault, so usually I'll just slap on a fake smile and nod my head yes, while in my mind I wanna slap them...or better yet, one day when someone says it I wanna be like 'What?!?!!?!' and act all shocked, and run off fake crying....just to mess with them. I seriously think my height makes me a freak...so when someone brings up my height, especially some stranger while I'm in line to buy my groceries, I get so embarassed, and feel like a total freak! Oh! and how can I forget the people that see how tall I am and immediately ask 'Do you play basketball?' Um No! Bein tall doesn't make you good at basketball...just like being short doesn't make you a good jockey!
2. What was your first "fandom"?
Oh my first fandom...Hmm...that takes me back...I think my first 'fandom' was Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. That was the first one that actually got me into fanfiction. I started reading fanfiction, then I realized how you could 'ship' different characters with other ones that maybe weren't necessarily on the show, and I was gone! My friend had written a Spike/Willow fanfiction and I proofread it for her, and soon after that I started reading numerous other fandoms and fanfiction, and now I write some fanfiction of my own and still read fan fiction to this date!
3. Top 3 Community 'ships you like.
1. Jeff/Annie: I really like this 'ship' but to be fair, I'll ship mostly anything with Joel Mchale making out. Anyways, I think the characters of Jeff and Annie just really work. I think part of the reasons why their characters are so good together is partly because they're so similar. Jeff tries to put up this front that he could care less, and doesn't need anyone, but Annie is the only one that can usually get past his defenses, and see that he does care about his friends. Annie on the other hand, has this wall where all she cares about is her studies and is so naive, where with Jeff she lets her guard down and shows more of her mature side, the real her with Jeff.
2. Troy/Britta: I never thought much of them until I saw them dance! :) I think part of the reason why I like together is similar to why I like Jeff/Annie together. I think Troy and Britta are pretty similar, in character at least. Everyone perceives Britta as this tough girl, and doesn't take the time to get to know really her, then you have everyone perceiving Troy as this stupid jock, and doesn't try to get to know him either. I think if they bonded and got to know the real Troy and Britta together, it could be a totally cute pairing!
3. Annie/Abed: This one is a bit rare, but it's the opposite from my other pairings. Annie is this complex, high maintence girl who focuses on everything, where you have Abed who is almost completely opposite. He's simple, not complex at all. I think the opposites attract pairing could be interesting with the characters. Abed could teach Annie how to enjoy the simpler things in life, while Annie could bring out the passionate side in Abed, having him focus on something and putting all of his passion into it...maybe their relationship?
Note: I answered honestly, even though Dawn was sitting next to me the whole time taunting me to put down Joel/Mel and Dawn/Danny!
4. Favorite (or least-disliked, depending on how you look at it lol) way to spend time outdoors?
Hmmm...I don't mind spending time outdoors...I love being at the beach! I love boogie boarding! Something about the ocean, just calms me and energizes me at the same time! I love it! I like being outside travelling, if that makes any sense, I would rather travel a place by walking around, enjoying the sights...I'm one of those people that would wander the whole city numerous times finding different things. I love wandering...maybe that 's why I'm good at being background? Cause all we do is wander in the background....
5. You can only use one LJ icon for the rest of the year. Which is it and why?
Hmmmm...Good one...I would use this icon I have on my computer, it's black and says 'I give good hugs'. I just love it! I'm what you would call a 'hug whore'. LOL No seriously, I believe hugs are seriously under rated, it's amazing what a hug does for the mood of people. I just think it's important to show people how much you appreciate them, or care for them. It doesn't have to be sexual either, I think a good hug for friends is welcomed and appreciated, at least it should be. It's a simple notion, that makes people feel better, and just shows people that they are cared about. Seriously, there is too much hate in this world as it is....everyone's ready to start saying 'I hate this person, I hate that person', but not enough people will hug a friend just to let them know that they care about them, and that's a damn shame!
