Alright, I'm writing this because #1 Dawn's being a punk about writing the blog together, so instead we're writing two separate blogs on the same damn day...just a warning if you're planning on reading Dawn's after this or have already read hers, it's pretty much the same thing. #2. I want some honest feedback, cause I'll be honest I'm stumped trying to figure out the events of the day. In addition, it's not just me who can't figure it out, Dawn and some other friends who have been told, are also stumped when it comes to figuring it out what it means, or even if it's a good thing or a bad thing, so please leave your opinion.
Monday night we got the call that both Dawn and I were on 'True Blood.' To say we were excited would be an understatement, #1. We hadn't worked in 2 weeks, so this was great, and #2. We LOVE 'True Blood' and they have some HOTTIES on there, and #3. after our last experience with the set, we knew we were in for a treat.
So we got up early and got down to the set early, and soon enough were on set waiting to check in. We had met up with some friends, cause they were casted with us, and started to head towards wardrobe, when we walked by the wardrobe lady we had last time, and she yelled "Alright the sisters are back!" as everyone looked at Dawn and I. I smiled as I said 'Hi' to her and we continued to our spot to check in. We saw Jim Parrack who plays 'Hoyt' on the show...that was exciting cause we've never seen him in person before. After checking in we were sent to wardrobe and soon enough were checked by a different wardrobe attendant who sent both Dawn and I to change our clothes. I only had to change my shirt, while Dawn had to change both her bottoms and top, so I was quick in and out, of the changing rooms. I stood outside next to James talking to him, waiting for Dawnie to change, when I happened to turn around for some reason and I see this tall guy coming down the walkway...I wasn't 100% sure it was who I thought it was, but my stomach knew it immediately, as my stomach flew into a knot,as I continued to watch him stride towards us.
As he got a bit closer I immediately recognized him as Alexander Skarsgard who plays Eric Northman. (For those of you who don't watch the show, Alexander Skarsgard is this hot piece of man, that plays a dead viking, and plain and simple...is one tall drink of water, that I would LOVE to get a taste of....I mean the man is gorgeous...Even me and Dawn agree on that one...I feel as if I should include a picture of the man at the end just so you too can enjoy his hotness..in fact I just might...anyways...) I quickly turned around, and said "Oh God!" as James was like "What?" and I told him that the guy was one of the cast members, and then all I could think was 'Dawn get out of the changing room, get out of the changing room...' hoping she wasn't gonna miss this.
I glance back and at this point he is pretty damn close, when I see him turn and start to cut through the area where James and I are standing. The only way he can get through is he has to cut between me and the building. OMG I almost died right there, as I held my breath waiting for him to pass, but the whole not breathing thing kicked in and I started coughing like crazy. James just looks over to me and busts out laughing, when Alexander stops right next to me, looking at me, a smile on his face as he watched me cough, my eyes slightly darting up to his every once in a while. I was secretly hoping he would leave, but no he stood right there waiting. I finally stopped coughing, standing up, as I looked over to him, as I saw his eyes read my t-shirt (He either read my t-shirt, which said 'Everyone loves a cowboy' or he was checking out my boobs...either way it's a good situation..),his eyes meeting mine again, as I spoke "My bad...frog in my throat..." He just stared at me for a bit, as I could feel my skin turning red, when suddenly he chuckled to himself, smiling still and continued on to his trailer.
Just as he walked by, Dawn's changing room door opened and all I could do was yell "Dawn!" as she looked over and signed the word Eric to her and pointed down the way he walked. Watching her head immediately snap to that direction, I later asked if she saw him and she said she only saw the back of his head....
We went back to wardrobe getting the OK, and started walking back to where James was waiting for us. We were walking back and Nelsan who plays 'Lafayette' was walking towards us. Dawn was like "Everytime we get wardrobe, I feel like were models..." as she started doing this over exaggerated 'model walk' down the sidewalk. I laughed and was like "Yeah and you got to pose it at the end." At this point, Nelsan is stopped watching Dawn and I 'model walk' down the road, as we both did this walk, then stopped and posed at the end of it...It was a riot! Finally after a pose, Dawn and I look forward and realize Nelsan just saw the whole thing, as he simply smiled, chuckling to himself as he walked by us to his trailer. Yeah, we were kind of embarassed, but we laughed it off...
After grabbing some fruit at catering we went to holding and chilled out with the other extras, knowing some of them, not knowing others. We made small talk and just waited when soon enough they came in and collected only 10 people to take set, and Dawn and I immediately volunteered. We'd rather work then be sitting around, being taken to set, we were soon placed sitting at a table with another guy named 'David'.
Now to say that we were in the middle of things is a huge understatement. This table was like right in the middle of the scene, so we had a view to everything. We sat down and were making small talk with David, when the Props guy came over to us telling us, that 'Arlene' (played by Carrie Preston, and is one of the main supporting characters, one of the main waitresses in the show) was gonna bring us beers in the scene.
So we did the scene a few times, and like the whole time, Sam (who is played by Sam Trammell) kept staring at us from the bar. It was like everytime they called 'Cut' Sam was staring at Dawn or I, smiling wide. We had a run-in with him last time we worked (read that blog, if you're curious).
Once in between shots, wardrobe came over and gave Dawn some earrings and bracelets to wear with her outfit, when one of the guest starring actresses who was placed with 'Hoyt', leaned over to the table and was like "Are you two sisters?" Dawn and I just smiled, as we both said "Yes" and the actress was funny cause she was like "Oh good, I was just making sure i wasn't going insane and just seeing things..." That's when David piped in and said "I thought so, but I wasn't sure..." I asked "Do we look alike?" and the actress was like "Yeah, around the eyes for sure", and after that 'Hoyt' would not stop staring at us, so now we had 'Hoyt' on one side of us, and 'Sam' on the other...It was quite the place.
Dawn and I have this little thing we do, before the director says 'action', Dawn and I will 'fist-bump' as a good luck thing, it's just something we started doing one day and we continue to do it. At this point, we were doing 'pick-ups' and 'Arlene' had to start the scene at our table, so during one time Dawn and I did our 'fist-bump', David was like "Me too!" as he held his fist in and 'fist-bumped' both Dawn and I, and suddenly without warning 'Arlene' stuck her fist in. It was a riot, as I was like "Yeah!" as I 'fist-bumped' her, it really was too funny. What was even funnier was the very next take, 'Arlene' walks over to the table and immediately puts her fist in, starting the 'fist-bumps' for that take. It was a riot! I think she dug it!
After the take, Dawn and I got up and moved to the side of the set, while the crew was fixing the camera, when we saw 'Sam' walking towards us, with this wide smile on his face. Now all I could think was 'Here we go...' Sam walks right up to Dawn and I (he hadn't spoke to any other extras at this point, keep that in mind) and smiles even wider, his blue eyes shining and spoke "Hi girls! How are you doing?" Dawn and I both blushed as we both answered together "Fine, How are you?" Sam just smiled wider and was like "I'm good..." as he pushed past us, to get to Kraft...he never did talk to any other extras...
We were sent back to holding and soon enough were broke for lunch. We were led to catering, and soon enough were in this huge line waiting to get to the food. While in line for food, I don't remember what I was doing but I happened to look ahead of us in the line and who do I see at the table right next to the end of the line? Stephen Moyer who plays 'Bill Compton' (For those of you who don't watch 'True Blood', Stephen Moyer is another hot piece of man, brown hair, piercing eyes, a killer smile, an english accent, and a look that is best described by Dawn as the 'Throw you down and do you nasty' look...I may have to post a pic so you get the whole thing...I just might...) My stomach immediately flew into knots again, as I turn to Dawn and whisper to her "you need to get it under control before we get up to the end of the line..."Now Dawn has no ideal what the hell I'm talking about, so I whisper into her ear, "Bill is sitting at the table at the end of the line". Dawn's eyes grew wide, probably as wide as my own, as I simply nodded my head yes, and she peeked down the line, then immediately turned back to me, and said "Oh god..." We spent the next moments in line fighting the redness, and trying to get our ovaries under control as much as possible.
Soon enough the line moved, and of course it stops putting Dawn and I directly behind the table where Stephen is sitting with three other people in the crew. I can hear his English accent as he is telling a story about himself, his sister and some toilet. I'm looking at Dawn, doing anything I can not to look at the man. Everytime I would glance over to the table, Stephen was looking back at me, to say my skin wasn't red would be a lie. I look to Dawn who is trying her best to not look at him too, when we hear the one wardrobe lady say to him "Stephen, those are the sisters!" Dawn and I both immediately snap our heads back to the table, as the wardrobe lady is pointing at Dawn and I, and Stephen is staring at us, a wide smile on his face as he stared at us for what seemed like forever. Finally,I had to look away, as I knew my face was beat red, and I could still feel him staring. Luckily, the line moved and we both hurriedly ran into the next room, as I heard him continue on with his story.
After getting our food, they wanted the extras to sit outside on the patio, after walking out on the patio and seeing everyone out there, I knew Dawn was not gonna eat sitting out there with everyone. So we grabbed our food and walked out of the patio, when Dawn suggested we sit on the steps of the parking garage across the walkway. I agreed and followed her over there, and we both sat down.
We were putting our crystal lite in the bottles, when 'Sam' walks by us, and yells to us "You know, you could say 'hi!'" Dawn and I just smiled, as he walked by smiling wide at us. Of course when he walked back to his trailer, was the moment when the water exploded and spilt all over Dawn's hands. We finally were ready to eat, and the moment, Dawn's about to put her fork into the plate, I whisper to Dawn "Oh shit...look out!" Dawn looks up and sure enough here comes Alexander walking down the walk way (Looking oh so good in a black tanktop and tight jeans), he glances over to us, then does this like 'double-take' and then smiles wide. He continues to stare at us, the whole time he walks by us, until it wasn't possible for him to see us anymore.
After recovering from that, Dawn's picks up her fork and is about to take a bite when we hear the door of the cafeteria open and out walks Stephen. He walks out, looks right at Dawn and I and smiles wide. Then he starts walking towards us, I'm like "Why is he coming over here?" and Dawn was like "I have no idea" he almost gets to us, when the Production Assistant he was with, runs up to him and pulls him towards the soundstage.
Letting the weirdness from that run out, Dawn finally gets to have a couple bites, before I see her put her fork down. I look around and sure enough, here comes 'Lafayette' walking down the walkway. He glanced over at us, a wide smile on his face as he passed.
Dawn was able to take a couple more bites, before I stopped her, as she looked up and here comes Ryan Kwanten (he plays 'Jason Stackhouse'...We had a moment with him last time too...He called us his girls last time) Ryan walks by, sees us and smiles wide, as he walks by.
Finally Dawn just throws her hood on, so she couldn't see the people coming, as she's eating one of her chicken wings. Now I know I shouldn't laugh, but this part was hillarious! She just has the chicken wing in her mouth, when 'Sam' comes into her view, and is standing only feet from us, glancing at our plate, as I spoke 'We're on a diet..." he then looks to Dawn and Dawn's sitting there with a chicken wing in her mouth, and all she can do is make this weird sound, as she throws her hands up in the air. 'Sam' just busts out laughing as he continues on his way, and I could not stop laughing. Poor Dawn, that really was not the spot to sit when you don't like people staring at you...it
was a riot though!
We finished lunch and were heading back to holding, which was in soundstage 5, and as we started walking we realized Ryan was walking next to us. He looked over at us and smiled, Dawn and I looked back at him and smiled, he looks over at us again and smiles, Dawn and I look over at him and smile again, this goes on for a bit when suddenly I notice he's walking towards a door. Finally I snap out of the little trance my ovaries put me in and look around as I say to Dawn "Where are we?" Dawn looks around and goes "We're at Soundstage 2! How'd we get over here?" Meanwhile, Ryan is standing at the door, listening to this as I continue "I have no idea, we must of gotten distracted..." suddenly it clicks in my mind as Dawn and I look at each other, then slowly we turn and look at Ryan, who is smiliing wide and goes "Oh, my girls..." as he walks into the building as Dawn and I just busted out laughing, starting our walk back to the soundstage 5.
Back in holding we were talking to another extra, and she was telling us about another set that was built in the back of the soundstage we were in. She was saying it's scary and it's some sort of dungeon and kept telling Dawn and I to go look. So I start walking back there, with Dawn behind me, as we're talking. I peek my head in and all I see is darkness, as I turn to Dawn and Dawn's like "You go first!" so I took a deep breath and walked into the set, with Dawn right behind me. Now I watch the show and immediately recognize it as Eric's dungeon from season 2,as Dawn and I are standing in the middle of it. I look to Dawn and go "I know what this is..." and Dawn was like "I do too.." then we look at each other and quickly ran out of the set. Even though it was fake, I ain't lying it was pretty freaky being in there...very very dark.
We were finally brought back to set, and once again placed at our table with 'David.' Now I did have a little run-in with Stephen at this point, but that's embarassing and I would rather not tell about how I ran into him...and I literally mean I ran into him...but it's all good...he laughed and left with a smile on his face...LOL
While on set, they bring in Ryan cause it was his scene, suddenly Dawn goes "Do not turn around..." I didn't turn around, but then I felt something on the back of my chair, so I turn around and there's Ryan, walking very slowly behind me, running his hand on the back of my chair, just smiling at Dawn and I, as he walked by. Dawn and I were so red, as he walks by.
They finally get Ryan placed and we do the scene a couple times, then during one of the breaks, I look over to where Ryan was placed and he's sitting there, resting his chin on his hand and just staring over to Dawn and I, a smile on his lips. He would not stop staring at us, as Dawn and I are just turning redder and redder as the moments passed.
We were told to go back to holding, as we're walking out the head PA runs over to Dawn and us and was like "Your the sisters right?" Dawn and I both nodded as he was like "What's your names again?" Dawn and I told him as we shook his hand, and he goes "Your last name too..." We told him our last name and he goes "OK, Thanks for coming back!" we smiled and said "Thank you..." as we walked out, we saw him pull a piece of paper from his pocket and it looked like he was about to write something.
So now after reading our adventures, we want your opinions on the following: Why did Stephen need to know who we were, considering we've never met the man, or even worked with him before? What's with Alexander and 'Lafayette' giving us this knowing smile, and they act like they know who we are, even though we never worked with them before? Why did the PA want our last name? Is this a good thing or bad thing? What do you think it means?
Any opinions would help, cause we're stumped!
