It's going to be a nail biter.

Since I couldn't sleep, I thought I'd get up and work on my Leia belt. I'm trying not to stress over the fact that my fabric isn't here yet. I'm also trying not to stress over the fact that the tracking info says it will be here on the 28th. I mean, it was in Indianapolis today! I could freaking drive up there, get it and drive back in a day. I would be a long day, but I could do it. Anyway, I didn't think I'd get as much done as I have, but it's going together really quickly.

In the past hour:
I finalized the size I wanted the silver plackets on the belt (I'm going slightly larger than the Jedi Academy templates because I'm an Amazon).
Cut a strip of my vinyl (which I found on sale, 50% off the red tag price at Jo-Ann).
Plotted my curve based on my placket pieces.
Cut my belt.
Used the posterboard patterns I made to cut out my plackets in Sintra (with ordinary scissors, I might add. I freakin' love this stuff!).

Now, I'm sitting here trying to figure out if I should keep going or go to bed. I think bed is winning right now.

Tomorrow, I hit R2D2 hardcore and try to get his body all done. No idea when that helmet is going to get here, but if it doesn't come tomorrow, I'm going to start working on other ideas for the head. This is all going to be the most thrown together thing I've ever done, costuming wise.
