Ok, I swear just a couple of days ago, I was shivering in the house and having to keep slippers and long sleeves on to stay warm to keep from turning up the heat. Today, I've got every window I can easily reach open and all the fans on. It is simply gorgeous outside! Especially for a mid/late December day. I'm enjoying it while I can, especially since it's supposed to turn cold again very quickly. As in tomorrow, the rain is supposed to return and bring with it a cold front. We're looking at a high of 40 and a low of 17 on Sunday.
Jonah got out of school at noon today (glad his teacher reminded me when I dropped him off this morning or I would have forgotten). So, I spent the morning finishing up some of the errands that I didn't get to yesterday and a couple of new ones that got added last night. When I picked him up, he looked like he might be ready for a nap, but, once we got home, that wasn't the case. Being that it was such a gorgeous day and since I could use some heavy breathing to break some of this gunk up in my head and chest, we got out and went for a run for the first time since Thanksgiving. Holy cow was it hard, but I made it through and with no loss in time (even though I felt like I was running at a snail's pace). I'm not happy about what the scale had to say though. Half the work I did before I kind of lost track of it at the start of November has been undone in the weight department. At least I'm not completely back where I started.
I'm still trying to plow through this cold and not let it get me down. I just absolutely refuse to get sick right now. On that note, I think I'm going to go take some vitamin C, zinc, echinacea and take a shower. Then I guess I better get the house cleaned up and get Jonah's gifts wrapped while he rests (not so sure he's actually going to nap from the sounds of things up there right now).
