Chris isn't wanting to do the Halloween 5k this weekend now. He thought it would just be me doing the actual race. He doesn't want to pay $35 to walk the race and honestly, neither do I (I thought it was $20). I tried to talk him into just going to be counted for the record (apparently you don't have to participate in the race to do that) and the block party afterward, but he's still not enthusiastic. He wants to do some gardening this weekend and I must admit that is something we really need to do. I have to say, I'm a bit relieved to not have to run around to thrift stores today trying to throw together some costumes. But, I am a little disappointed because it sounded like a lot of fun. This is the 4th one, so I'm going to mark it on my calendar for next year to be ready for it, whether he wants to do it with me or not. Maybe then I'll have some people to do it with me (looks at
sailingwest). If I had registered in August, it would have been $20.
Since I'm not getting zombie costumes together for this weekend, I'm thinking about not participating in the Zombie Walk next weekend, too. We've got three events next weekend and that would knock us down to two. That also knocks me down to three sets of costumes to put together in the next 3 weeks instead of four. Our October budget is probably thanking me.
