I'm still alive
So I've totally neglected LJ, and are so behind in reading since I've only glanced over it briefly since I started S-P. Which by the way is going along great, training is sometimes a bore (i.e. reading countless procedures and having my eyes go all buggy) and at times I'm running around in circles behind the super training me. He says I'm coming along good, so I'll be set free on nights pretty soon, not this week but maybe the next one? I really have no idea what's going on, but I know I'm definitely happy about the move here from Immu (even tho I do miss my CC gang).
That's about it for work, S-P is treating me well and in turn I'm so much happier here and there's less daily stress in general so I feel better too (which is always a good thing).
Y'all already know we've moved and are still settling in. Well, I'm FINALLY most of the way there now since Jubb came up this weekend to help shuffle furniture between storage and the apt. Jubb definitely gets the gold star for the weekend for driving his cuz's truck up here and doing 3 trips between storage and home (it's only 4 mi each way) to switch beds, haul the freezer and futon over to the apt and assorted other stuff. So storage is practically almost 1/2 empty now, like we can actually walk in w/o something falling on my head!!!
I think there's only minor things left since I finally hung curtains in my bedroom and awaiting the room darkening drapes to come in the mail. We have a futon that's not broken, and I have a big bed now, YAY! It feels like a real home now.
I do however need to clean up the front closet since I've just been throwing things in it and prolly won't be able to find anything. What else, oh and I think I've trained myself to not hear the trains anymore and the cars/trucks on the road, I just hear the occasional engine brakes on the trucks.
OH MY GOD... we just can't escape toilet trouble I swear to Jeebus. Jubb and I made an emergency run to Home Depot to buy a plunger, and the landlord still hasn't fixed the leak that's dripping water out the bottom. We think Jubb has fixed the won't stop running problem. My freaking bad luck is still haunting me... whoa maybe I had a toilet daemon at the HOB place and it followed me to Cranford. I wonder how one goes about getting rid of a toilet daemon, wonder what'll come up on google...
Oh, and everyone already prolly knows that Smoottlls is throwing a party at casa de billy & melly for his frat bros. I've invited my Immu gang (that most likely won't show up but it's me keeping in touch) Y'all are invited but aren't obliged to come since it's prolly not your circle of peeps. Everyone is always welcome to come over for dinner, just give me a day or two notice so I can cook something.
Whoa!!!!!!! Almost forgot, Jubb gets another gold star for doing my fed and state taxes last night while we were watching the boring bowl and so-so commercials (although I did like the 'streaker' Bud one). And I'll end up getting back a few hundred bucks, which isn't that much so I'm happy (since after all its a govt loan w/o interest in essence). And hello, YAY for direct deposit, bring on the refund in 8-15 business days! And best part is that maybe I'll get a NJ state refund later for the fair rent something something like last year, and I'll prolly forget about it, so it'll end up being like whoa free money again, cool! But Oye i'm going to be making so much more this year and hello taxes are outrageous, I do plan to increase my allocations to my charities (and S-P matches, another plus) so that'll help along with my 401(K) lowering my taxes.
