I've had no goddamn internet in my dorm room since I got here. Right now, I'm sitting in the Penn bookstore a block away from the Quad. Good thing this place is open, because the library's closed all day because of the Labor Day holiday. I feel like I'm about to go crazy. I've been calling back and forth, and they finally sent someone out today to "assess the problem," i.e. take a look and leave again, but the actual contractors won't be over to fix it until tomorrow at the very earliest. This is so inconvenient, since I have to check my course documents on Blackboard, check out my textbooks on Amazon, send e-mails, go on AIM, etc. They really should consider getting wireless in the dorms. It would make things a lot simpler. Anyway, I suppose I'll sit here until my battery starts to die.
Hope everyone's having a good semester so far! Actually, besides the whole not having internet thing, it's nice being back on campus. I just hope I'll be able to meet more people this year. Classes start on Wednesday, and I'm rather excited about them. I guess this enthusiasm will only last until the first midterm, though.
Most of my stuff has been unpacked, though some of my roommate's stuff won't arrive till later this week. Our room is relatively large, but I'm just afraid that we won't have space to store all these boxes. A friend who's living in a single in the high rises said that she'd be willing to store a few things for us, since she has four friggin' closets. I think it'll all turn out just fine.
