Kira's birthday trip to the Zoo was a lovely day out. The kids played heartily and we all had a good wander round. Naturally Kira got a bit fractious towards the end of it all. Thanks to all those who came and to those who sent birthday wishes, etc. Pictures from the day are on my Flickr account (but don't aske me to post up a link as I am crap at that sort of thing!!).
This weekend saw Kira and I head down to uber sunny Cornwall with the intention of getting VW Helston to fix all the problems they created when Mark took the car down to be repaired/serviced in January (where they cocked it up). It was a friends 50th birthday party on the Saturday so seemed like a good idea to co-incide the two events. I stayed with a friend of mine who is having some major marriage issues so was mostly a shoulder to cry/vent/hatch evil plans on. So appologies to not getting to do any visiting of folk, but was pretty tied up really. Kira and I did get to go to Newquay on Friday to go to the Blue Reef Aquarium as she has developed an awe of fish (sish as she calls them). There was litterally not a cloud in the sky. The BRA was also really quiet so was able to really spend a good amount of time in there which also gave me time to try and get a few pictures worthy of showing the rest of the world. The more I do, the better I seem to be getting. sister_savage was right in something she said to me a while ago, you have to take a lot of bad pictures to get a good one.
The best of the day have yet to make it on to my Flickr account due to the fact I actually have some work to do, but could not resist posting a couple of Kira on the beach. She thoroughly enjoyed running from one side to the other and in and out of the sea. She was not overly keen on the waves going inside her wellies, but fortunately once you pay to go into the BRA you can go in and out as much as you like so was able to use their facilities to get her changed after.
