I always find baby names interesting because it's a reflection of our cultural influences, and it's important. You're naming a human being. I've heard that people with weird or ugly names are more likely to be bullied and so on. Lately I even heard that people whose last names are at the end of the alphabet have lower self-esteem. That is weird! So many factors are involved. My brother's name is a classic one! In some cultures, children are named something like "Lucky sunrise" or something, and then their parents and everyone around them treat them as if they were truly a lucky sunrise or something... which causes the child to have characteristics, I guess. Or maybe those around the child perceive them as luckier or something. It's all so interesting! It's like with the classic old-fashioned names. If I met a man named Theodore or a woman named Margaret, I'd connect their names to traditional and wealthy professions or social circles or something.

Twilight definitely was a trend! I remember that Bella was the number one name a few years back, during the height of the craze.

I like your real name. :3 Is there another name you would have wanted instead? When I was a teenager, I wanted to be called Samantha instead of my real name. I grew out of that.

Sebastian is such a noble name which makes me think of royalty... which is funny because the only Sebastian I know in real life is a goofy kid... But you know what? I do believe his family comes from money, so maybe it's like you said with wealthy families naming their kids wealthy names.

It's cool how names are passed down, too. My middle name is passed down in the women of my family. I'm expected to name any girl I have with my middle name. Aeriste is such a lovely name! ....Yeah, Cloud is kind of "out-there" for a name. Maybe as a middle name, since the article said that middle names which aren't middle names are "in" right now. :)
