that was the irony of hearing that song on the radio this morning. in anyone else's hands, it would've gone right by, but something about it reminded me of Chick. and sure enough...
i actually have no urge to listen to Anastasia Screamed. i think i have a song or two, as well. but i'd much rather listen to that live Scarce tape. or the Mr. 1000 7" i bought for 19(!!) cents at newbury comics. that single kicks ass, too.
i hope he's happy, too. i guess what struck me most though was how little has changed for him, which is, I guess, what I'd sort of suspected. as far as i know, he's still working at a min. wage job, playing the occasional solo acoustic show. his health being what it is, he's probably never going to play rock again. i'm sorta curious about his solo record, even though i can't imagine it being my cup of tea. i hope he's found a nice SO.
he was actually fine after 9/11, according to the article i found. though i wonder if that's why his solo album never came out domestically? 3 strikes, and you're out.
